I was watching old Raw episodes from the late 90’s and it sucked watching them fall apart. Wish Hawk didn’t go down the dark path he went down because they would have dominated the tag team division a lot longer.

Hawk and Animal were an attraction like Andre or Brock today. They weren't built to be in the same territory every week. You cant just see a guy or guys squash everyone every week it gets tired quick. When Hawk and Animal showed up a few times a year on a show you were aching to see them just obliterate whoever was in the ring. When they were in WWE or WCW they had to lose sometimes which sucked. You want to hear their theme music, watch them walk in and kill people and leave for a few months and then do it again.

The Road Warriors probably spawned more imitators than any other wrestling gimmick in history, except perhaps Superstar Billy Graham. At one point in the 80s, every wrestling promotion in the world from the USA to Japan, had a roided up tag team with face paint. Many big names in the last 35 years of wrestling, from Sting to Ultimate Warrior to Kevin Nash, started off as an LOD imitator.

The Road Warriors were hyped to the max. Even special characters on the arcade game. In reality when they came to the WWF. They were way past their best. Demolition were far better, at least before Crush came along. I liked Barbarian, him and Haku would have been an amazing team

Yes I think WWF wasted Barbarian. Warlord is a decent and like able guy. Just couldn't get the gimmick right for him. I think precious was with Warlord in NWA? I can't remember his ring name. He looked better without the paint etc and silly hair. She probably fancied him till he opened his mouth? I would have loved a woman like her, strong. LOD lost some of their luster near the end when they allowed scrubs like Rockabilly and the Really FAKE Double J to humiliate them. Steiners never wouldve alliwed that. They wouldve quit. The fact that LOD got so desperate that theyd go along with something like that makes them #2 imo
