If you think about it though, the dungeon of doom really did kill Hulkamania. They brought forth a dark side never seen in him before, foreshadowing what would become Hollywood Hogan. Kayfabe speaking, the DOD implanted the illness that would eventually end Hulkamania for some time.

The Giant being The Son of Andre was actually a super cool angle. Bischoff should have signed him to a mega deal after he proved himself as a serious talent and just ran with it. Also letting Jericho walk was dumb. They basically gave The Big Show and Y2J to WWF as a Gift just when Vince was starting to win the War. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

The thing with the Dungeon of Doom was, Kevin Sullivan has said repeatedly over the years since that he created the faction in order to appease Hogan, and make him comfortable, as Hogan was still used to the comic book, goofy, cartoon style characters of the WWF when he was working for Vince. I don't think Sullivan even liked the faction much.

The flip side is also true if the title could change on DQ. One of the guys to just get one of their friends to “attack” them and get the champ disqualified and win the title in a cheap way like that.

They should bring back the Gimmick Battle Royale at WrestleMania and call it the YETTAY Memorial Battle Royale. Ron Reis actually made me a fan of Chris Benoit because of that Nitro match they had in 1996 when Benoit just took him apart for about six minutes before superplexing him off the top for the win. The one thing I wanna say is maybe “the giant” falling off the roof was meant to portray how strong he was that he could survive a fall off roof. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Michael Buffer describes him as "the man who literally rose from the dead" when he walked down to the ring at Halloween Havoc, so he's some sort of Zombie Jesus giant 🤣

Taken from a hidden mic in the locker room before Havoc: "The Giant is booked to go over." "That doesn't work for me, Brother." "Ok, how about we wrap a guy in toilet paper and have him do a run in DQ?" "Ok, that'll work, Brother. I'm thinking a double bear hug spot..."
