That’s why they had a squash match in the semi main event, they were pushing Harlem heat 2000. That’s right, not only did they lose major young talent, they pushed people with No talent. Sorry Stevie Ray, you’re alright in your mic and ring work, but your no Booker and the cardboard cutouts you have as tag partners have the wrestling skills of a brick, and are about as safe.

@@LostChrisB Really is sad because the WCW roster was so stacked at one point but they just didn't know how to use most of those guys. I think it’s because as fast as they’ve now risen they’ll be left behind and split up just as fast. To have Edge and Christian, the Dudley’s and the Hardy’s spearhead tag wrestling in the coming months other teams are going to be mid card guys to flesh out the division.

Mark, big show, hell even Fatu left the wwf to train up and return to take up the Rikishi gimmick, Vince knew what he wanted in his big wrestlers and was ready to take them off television to retrain them, even when they were big on tv, even when they were former wwf champion. Viscera is also gone to Memphis now I think, of course he was never the safest wrestler in the world no matter the training, but he would return years later to try and seduce Lilian Garcia so his mic skills are at least going to develop.

I like this idea. My biggest regret from back then is that even at the time, Ric Flair just seemed boring and old. His promos and style resonated well with 10ish year old me, but once it came to everything else, I wanted the younger, cooler guys. Going back through 90s wrestling makes me appreciate not only how many people Flair put over, but just how good he really was in the ring.

Another legendary ending to Raw with Vince returning and the Rock getting a huge victory pop. It's a shame Wrestlemania 2000 was botched, though, lol.

Ah, Sid. I first saw his promos when I was 14 years old. I thought, even at that tender age, that they were some form of experimental poetry. I now teach poetry for a living. Next time I have a brilliant student, I’ll print out one of his speeches, and see if I can get a close analysis out of it, before revealing its provenance.

I started this series when it first started coming out and decided to wait until more episodes came out so I could binge watch this great series but I waited too long and I fear I may not catch up to you before you’re finished at the rate you’re going. The series is amazing I hope Santa got you double the gifts you beautiful soul.

Man, as inevitable as we all know it is (history always gives you 20/20 hindsight goggles) it feels like a chapter of the war ended tonight. I remember a lot of salty comments during the early days of the war complaining about a WCW bias.... Look where we are now!

@13:20 I remember hearing a story about how when Mae took a 3D she got upset that they went easy on her, after the spot when they got to the back Mae grabbed Bubba by the ear pulled him to her and said “next time slam her like one of the boys.” Mae reminds me so much of my great grandma I bet she was the nicest.

The best part of this series is it makes us realize the products during the Monday Night Wars weren't always so great and in between great moments there was a lot of cringe and a lot of filler. It was a moment in time though, everything was new and exciting and it worked at the time.

Every time I see Too Cool now, I can't help but think about what happened to Brian Christopher after the Attitude Era ended. He was so talented and he just got discarded, and spiraled right into the gutter. It makes me so sad when I see him here, when he was in his prime physically, and at the peak of his popularity.

Too Cool were definitely some of the best parts of the Attitude era. They were the first act I seen with my own eyes get over organically despite not being as successful as their peers. Scotty's Worm spot was prolly the most anticipated part of any show outside of a Rock promo.

This week screams that Vince had negotiated the closing of WCW acquisition and PR wanted him back on tv to act like nothing is going to happen while the WWF has the 3 year plan in place for the invasion

It was not a good look for Rock to get his way into WM main event by whining to Game. They could have built that ,where Rock is the Champion and then Game is trying to book him to lose ,by adding himself and then another opponent, and then another... And also its not very good look for the Macmahon/Helmsley as "Credible Authority" why ,That they just gave him all these chances. And now that Main event. Everybody are, just there..
