Then read the the IDW comic run of More then Meets the eye. There his change of heart is due to a long journey and is actually somewhat believable without involving a completely cringeworthy relationship with vomit-inducing subtext between Megatron and a human.

I think this version of them are different. Orion are more ambitious, cunning, and opportunistic miners who always planning to steal power from sentinel to reach top ladders. D16 are more clueless yet kindhearted miners who really genuine belief with his duty and caring with others

I think one of the things that SG does well is the fact it keeps the characters personalities, while under different circumstances with different issues, they’re all fundamentally still themselves, A lot of ‘switch’ stories just change the characters to fit with their opposites molds, Character X just acts like character Z while vice versa Meanwhile SG, character X still acts like character X just in character Z’s situation

Since it's current time the autobots are winning as much as they would be in the other universe. The only reason it looks so desperate is because the autobots are killers. At a time the decepticons were winning. They just aren't in contact with the deceptions that would turn the battle. Like tarn hasn't shown up yet. Jetfire was on the fence.

I've seen some comments here asking to cover the Original Run of Shattered Glass by Fun Pub and I think that would be great. Fun Pub really liked multiverse stories so almost none of it is entirely contained in the shattered glass universe. Also there were several tie in toys receiving a scattered and limited release between 2008 and 2016 that have various little nods to the history of the franchise. Like the Optimus toy having "I Shall Stand. The Rest Shall Fall" painted on the side of his truck mode.

I have been following the comics of transformers for a while but I never heard of this story. Ive always felt the decepatacons were not really evil (after watching the Netflix animation mini series)

Obviously your opinion on the color pallets is subjective and I have no issue with you not being a fan. I will say back in 2008 when this concept was created it was done by hardcore fans of transformers and a good number of the color swaps are based on something within the franchise for the most part. Optimus= Galvatron, Grimlock= Tripticon, Ultra Magnus= His original color scheme from the early drafts of the 1986 film.

While the role reversal stuff is fun and all, im pretty sure the point of the mirrorverse which is what shattered glass is based on, wasn't just making good characters bad and bad characters good. It was to show how different humanity would be had they chose a different path in startreck and became a facist empire, the aliens like vulcans were still, good people after all. It was just humanity that had gone wrong... And I tend to find those stories more interesting...

Unfortunately it was recently put on indefinite hiatus for various reasons (including toxic fans and harassment unfortunately), but it’s a good read which keeps the vibe of SG and prime. Optimus the side of good Hmmm. Good to Earth. Cybertron is Megatrons first priority. Optimus is willing to risk the saftey and future of Cybertron for the sake and the well being of other beings and planets. Sort of like when tree huggers go crazy and drive steel spikes into trees so when lumberjacks cut them down their chain breaks and often eithier mames them or kills them causing pain to a fellow human and their families choosing a tree over a human. Fight for one side long enough and time will turn you into a Villian. Energon comes at the sake of other life forms. The houses we live in come at the sake of living trees the rubber we wear on our shoes sends tiny picies of plastic on the street and rubber with every step we take polluting our rivers, lakes and oceans. In Star wars Obi Wan adress this by saying alot of how we see things depends on a certuan point of view.
