Sandra, I so enjoyed your poem! At almost 70 I have been writing more than ever and find it fulfilling. I notice a pattern in your poetry and writing as I did in mine. It was always something about the 'journey of life ' and everything was from a perspective of 'traveling'. So I embraced it -;) You look lovely today as you always do. Thank you for your insights and skin care hints. You use such a small number of reasonably priced products that I'm amazed. The Vitamin C serums have been good for my skin. This channel is my favorite! Keep Smiling,

I always love knowing another writer. Poetry has to come from the heart in order to move others. I think we all have a bit of a poet in us, but there are those that are brave enough to write it down and share. Yes. I do contemplate my journey often. Keep on writing and sharing, Sunny. Hi Sandra, What a beautiful poem and intro today. How refreshing to hear you talk about your smile lines, we earn them don’t we. I agree with softening them as much as possible as we age. Appreciate your list of skin care products as you do have the most beautiful skin ...it just glows. A cute smile story: when I left the corporate world the artist/creative director drew a likeness of me on an 18”x18” white card and had everyone sign it ...almost everyone said “Great smile” or “We will miss your smile”....so I truly believe that your smile makes a difference. One of my favorite old time songs is “Smile”. Thank you so much for this today. Love you ...hugs.. Sherry

Hi Sandra, Always love your skin care and make-up videos! Everybody has their own skin care regimen. I keep mine pretty basic. I’ll change my cleansers, toners and moisturizers every so often because it’s good to give your skin a change. I do use Retina A, I graduated to 1% a few years ago. (I’m 66). I don’t use it every night, I alternate it with my Obagi Hydrate Luxe Moisture Rich Cream. I have always had combination skin so the Retina A never flaked on me or irritated my skin. I used it gradually ever since I first got it. Vitamin C serum for day before moisturizer. It also brightens your skin and obviously works for you! I am a huge fan of tinted moisturizer with SPF currently Laura Mercier. I recently purchased The Burt’s Bees facial cleansing towelettes cucumber & sage extracts as a convenience and pre-cleanse at night. As you, I love essential oils, I have a blue spray bottle of lavender in my bedroom that I spray everywhere especially the bed, pillows. I learned something new about your derma roller. I think I’ll get one! I have the jade roller now. It’s fun to share what we love! Your scarf is lovely today!

I apply so often in the night all through the day. You can't really be a regular lipstick wearer. I think they might do it lipstick form. I like to go above my lips can you imagine. 🙋🏻♀️Sandra, although I’ve been silent, I continue to watch each and every video , on my t.v. So if not on my iPad , I don’t always respond , but when I do , I hit the like button on each and every video I watch. Just wAnted to reach out today , because your podcast of the book of your memoirs popped Up and I’m listening it again for the second time. The interesting story of your life ( both with good & bad experiences) and the lilting sound Of your voice , is very comforting to me . Headed back to N.J. In a couple of weeks and will think of you and the coincidences in life that Unites us all in some way . I’m hitting a milestone birthday next week , not too happy about receiving that Medicare card ,👵🏻😂 But I can pull up one of your videos of encouragement , and be reminded of the alternative, Having recently lived threw the sudden tragic death of my dear sweet brother in law . As only children , we had a special bond , and would have been turning the same age , this month only two weeks apart. Our 💔 are still coming to terms with his loss, but you have taught me so many tools to cope and embrace every day of the life we are so blessed to wake up and live every day . On the 10 th of this month my mother will have passed away 10 yrs . I look to you , for so many positive teachings , she was just never able to impart to me , do to a life of sadness and regret . My father passed away when I was 16 and as a young widow ( like yourself ) but was never able to pick herself up , and proceed to live a happier, fuller life till her death at 87 yrs. My Thanks. To you for all the wisdom u impart to not only myself , but to so many of us living “ Life Over Sixty “ Sending you my ❤️ And gratitude, JoAnn, the transplanted Jersey Girl trying to make the best of life in Virginia 😉❤️

I suffered from severe acne and am quite disfigured. However, I just don't care! I am what I am. It's so freeing and has been the best part of getting older. I put makeup on for work but I also hate doing it. I do like skin care now though, now that my acne is gone it feels like a luxury as opposed to a futile hopeless battle! I've never gotten up the courage to use the dermaroller I bought! I did have my dermatologist use the dermapen on me once. But it broke me out (very) slightly so I didn't do it again. I got scared of the acne coming back!
@lifewithsandrahart5 жыл бұрын
You have a great attitude. It’s who you are inside that really matters. If you have sensitive skin and are prone to breakouts, I don’t know if derma rolling would be good. If your scaring bothers you, have you ever considered laser treatments? I have heard good things about how it eliminates acne scars.

Lines? Absolutely. I remember when I went to Barneys in San Francisco. to look for a Rodin Lipstick. The saleswomen was stunned by the lines by my eyes. ( smile ones of course) and she went on and on about my lines and wanted me to buy some eye cream.. I then told her I was 78 and of course, I have lines. Well, that did it and she backed away. I'm with you about lines and age. We're lucky to be here. BTW, have you tried Clinique's Take Off the Day balm? I really like it for removing makeup. You've been raving about Le Lift for so long. I take it it's a moisturizer. Why do you like it?
@lifewithsandrahart5 жыл бұрын
Great story, Sandra. Love it! I haven’t tried that Clinique product. Is it better that anything you have used? The Chanel Le Lift does just that. It is a soft, comforting face cream that delivers targeted anti-aging benefits for a visibly recontoured, toned and refined complexion. It is my last layer of skincare to be applied. It works for me. Thanks for watching today, Sandra. Have a good one. ❤️ Sandra

Hi, good morning Sandra, Glad to see you back again. I was looking for you! We all eagerly await your each new video. ☺ Anyway, I watched this for the duration, normally I wouldn't because I can't relate to most women's skin care regime, but you know how I love you, and you intrigue me, so I'm hooked with whatever you have to share! You have quite a few steps to your daily skin care routine. Honestly, I would grow tired of all those steps, and I'd have trouble being consistant. What is the significance of using the Vitamin C? And it's a good thing that you feel the way you do about Retin A, because ever since I was a teenager, I've known all about that. My older adopted sister Liz, used to have bad acne, and she had to get a prescription for Retin A, for treatment of her acne. She told me then, that the way the medication works, is it takes off layers of your skin, bringing the new soft skin underneath to the surface. And she said that when a person uses Retin A, they can't go in the sun, because it will cause too much redness. I think there is a steroid in it too, and someone also told me that if you use it too much, it can cause fine facial hair to grow! Plus, Sandra, think about it, if a person becomes dependent using this, then what's gonna happen if they run out, and can't get anymore?! No, I keep it simple, just an inexpensive, but effective, facial cleanser, Cetaphil, and then I use the plain old fashioned Vasoline Intensive Care Lotion that was popular in the '70's., and rub it all over my face. That soaks up into my skin, without being greasy, or oily. I have a couple of scars, that I rub in some Vitamin E oil, and that seems to help soften, and slowly try to fade them. Also, when I can get it, a moisterizer made up of mainly Aloe Vera gel, has helped keep my skin smooth and supple. And when you mentioned that product you have that has olive oil in it-- that's good, because olive oil can be used as a terrific moisterizer! I knew a pretty Mexican lady back in 1993, and she slathered olive oil all over her body, especially her face. And let me tell you, Sandra, she had the softest, most smooth face, literally like a "baby's bottom"!! I remember when I used to visit her, I'd get frustrated, when I'd go to use her bathroom, and get olive oil on the under sides of my thighs, every time I sat on her toilet!! Lol. Are you smiling, or laughing? 😅 I liked your poem at the beginning of this video. Here is my feelings too, not exactly a poem, but just something tailor-made only for you. There is an elegant, mysterious lady, walking down the brick pathway. She enjoys browsing the land, wandering around the estate, taking in the fragrance of her garden flowers, and feeling as though she's become one with nature. She's a free spirit, always has been, with a grace about her, that most people find irresistable. I tell you friends, she has love in her heart, and can only see the light, and the goodness in everything, so there's no need for complaints. She has the world as her canvas, and the sky as the limit, and to her, there's no doubt, or hesitation. Maybe, if you are lucky, you'll cross paths with her. But send her my love, and give her my best, because she's a special lady. And her name is Sandra!!!! (I just now made this up, as I went along)

@@lifewithsandrahart Well, you really could help me, seriously, by praying for me, and even asking some friends from your church, to pray for me! I promise I'm not trying to be dramatic, but for real, truly, I need a physical healing miracle. I do believe it's possible for healing, I just need others, that have the faith, to ask God for my health, and wellness. I struggle with pulminary problems, (the lungs, trouble breathing). I'm on oxygen, 24 hours a day. And my heart is not as strong as it used to be, which causes other physical problems. There are many times that I don't feel well, like I'm dying. It's miserable, and scary, because I don't know what's going to happen to me. So your prayers will help, and definately pray that I don't die. I've been hearing about people with my condition dying, one by one, and I don't want to be next!!

A Blessed & Beautiful morning to you Ms. Sandra 😘 I died three times ( same boating accident ) and I can assure you what whatever you feel you haven’t had a chance for here ( you’ve said as much in several of your videos ) you will have an ETERNITY to experience on the NEXT plane. Heaven is an indescribably wondrous place where EVERY good & beautiful thing is possible all you need to do is WISH it ! This might sound completely unbelievable to you NOW but, trust me, when you’re on the OTHER side you won’t be able to comprehend how we actually bought into the belief that this illusion, that we all agreed to participate in, was real and was actually our life. No, this is NOT your life but a virtual school & test for what comes NEXT which IS your life - and you will L-O-V-E it ! 🤗

Life Over Sixty With Sandra Miss Sandra, You are MOST welcome! 🌹🤗🌹 If you get a chance, PLEASE watch The Plurality of Heaven by Jonathan Cahn on KZbin. ( It’s quite short.) I’m the one who died, and experience the “ After Life “ but HE does a PHENOMENAL job in describing what I was so clumsily trying to ! 💖

Life Over Sixty With Sandra Please, please, do. Because of certain comments you have made, I want you to have this information. Do not EVER regret paths you have taken and those you have, the life is kind of like an illusion that we’ve all agreed to be apart of. It IMPORTANT but only as a learning experience and for evaluation but it is NOT our life. Our true life begins only AFTER we’ve died and that life is one of endless & unlimited possibilities. The joy is indescribable ! Anyway, you’ll see 😉 .....💖

I thought you might enjoy this... I do dog sitting & I have 3 dogs here today. A friend dropped by for lunch & when she walked in she started laughing becuz my living room was covered with doggie blankets & toys. She said it looked like Romper Room. I told her about your youtube channel. She remembers you like I do.

LOL! That is so funny. You are the new Miss Kay! We are going away and have a dog sitter, too. We have two dogs and are so grateful to have a good person to care for them in their home. We are animal lovers, as well. Interesting job. Thinks for sharing. I hope all the dogs are good DoBees! ❤️. Sandra

That's quite a few products. Expensive ones as well.

I alternate, and they last me a long time, so they pay for themselves in the end by taking good care of my skin. I spend on skincare and not makeup❤️. Sandra

Well you don’t have wrinkles so it’s hard to embrace something you don’t have ☺️ I don’t have many either but the ones I do have I don’t want them 😂 but with me I don’t like to use many products so I use maybe 4 if that for me simple and less is more☺️ Thank you as always for your tutorials and videos. ❤️🦋❤️

Linda, I get it! Trust me. I get it!! Have a super day in you birthday week. I hope your husband is not like mine. When I had my 80th, the next day he said, “Well, you’re on your way to 81 now.” Please let a girl enjoy where she is now! ❤️. Sandra

Life Over Sixty With Sandra LOL .... I just hope I get to be 80 even 90 as long as I have quality of life. I don’t know if you got a chance to see my Facebook page of a dedication to a very close friend who just died of cancer she was 2 years older than me just had a birthday in June beautiful person inside and out, she had attended my husband retirement party and had just gotten back from her collage home coming and I had just spoken to her that night she died the next day. I guess what I am really trying to say is love life and stopped worrying about how old we are because we I know we all going to die that’s for sure so just love life be the best u can be don’t have to stick to anyone’s rules just be kind to others and as you always say but most of all be kind to thy self. Thank you Sandra I don’t know u personally but I love 💕 you and thank you 🙏🏽 for your channel. 💕🦋💕

I did see that, Linda and it really resonated with me. I have lost almost all of my close girlfriends to cancer, beginning at 60. One has advance dementia and she was a powerful and brilliant documentary producer. That is the hard part about getting older - these kind of losses and empty places in our hearts.

Thank you so much, Sandra...….I have always thought that a natural looking older woman is the most beautiful......Someone said.."No matter how many face lifts or skin tighting that you do, you will never be able to reverse aging." So true, you cannot turn back time or stop it....But you can be a beautiful you with just a little effort......You are what is considered 'aging with dignity'...…...A beautiful woman

It is a long-held belief that it takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile. So wrinkles are inevitable either way.
