Sandra, what on earth did we ever do without your channel and your wonderful videos...?????!!!!!!! I find myself more and more drawn to you and this is a wonderful feeling. I totally understand everything you’re saying about not waiting to enjoy life. I find myself wishing more and more that I had been a better steward of my time. In the past seven years I have suffered several tragic losses in my life beginning with the tragic death of my only son, who was only 34 years old at the time of his death. Not long after my son died, my cousin, who is like a sister to me, lost her older daughter to cancer. Our children were born the same year only a few months apart and of course, they grew up together. Additionally, I have lost several of my high school classmates to either cancer, some other chronic illness or in several instances to tragic accidents. Just this past week, I lost a very dear friend to a crippling, chronic lung disease that she had been fighting her entire adult life. Cathy and I were born the same year in the same month only a few days apart...we celebrated our birthdays together many times and in many ways through the years. This year in March, we would have celebrated birthday #63. Cathy had also lost a son tragically, several years before I lost my son; we were able to provide much-needed comfort to each other on many occasions. I have been very sad this week, but life must go on. Also, in the past year, I buried both my parents, so all of these losses combined have certainly taken a huge emotional toll on me and also on others. I’ve learned through all of the loss that the best way to grieve, is to celebrate the life of those lost by living our own lives to the fullest extent possible. I have wasted far too much time putting things off and wasting precious time. Nowadays, I am busy getting on with my life...making every day count. Regarding your discussion on skin care, I totally agree with every point you made in this video. About two years ago I began taking skin care seriously for the first time in my life. Every day, I use hyaluronic acid serum, vitamin C serum, retinol cream and several essential oils on my face, neck, décolletage, hands and arms. I suppose I should be using these products on my legs, too, and sometimes I do. As far as fillers are concerned, my daughter is a nurse practitioner with almost 10 years of experience; she does not recommend the use of fillers unless they are prescribed and applied by a plastic surgeon or dermatologist. She has been offered several positions with physicians’ offices who offer fillers in their practice and she has chosen not to accept the positions because she does not want to put her license in jeopardy by the casual application of fillers. When these fillers are misapplied, irreparable damage can be caused, which is very scary, at least to me. These fillers should be applied by well-trained physicians or nurse practitioners who apply them on a daily basis and stay up-to-date on the latest information and techniques. We are almost to the place where fillers can be obtained at CVS just like a flu shot and I certainly would not get a flu shot at a CVS or any other pharmacy. I have a very good older friend who obtained a facelift over 10 years ago...it changed her face so dramatically she immediately regretted having the procedure. I certainly would prefer to spend my hard-earned money on other things with a more certain outcome. Anyway, enough about this. Sandra, I am known for my long comments, and I certainly hope you don’t mind, because to me, sharing and interaction is what it’s all about here on KZbin. When I posted regularly on my own channel I enjoyed the interaction with my subscribers most of all and this is what I miss the most about posting on my channel. I continue to think about resurrecting my channel and perhaps this will happen sometime soon. I make no promises to myself or to others...ha ha... I prefer to make the most of my time and at the end of the day know that I did not let myself down and that I am happy. Sandra I enjoy your channel more than words can say. As we enter into the holiday season, I hope you and yours have a wonderful month of celebration and enjoy good health and prosperity. Until next time peace to you my friend and Godspeed.

Lady W Life is complicated. No doubt about it. As a young woman I never would have planned, nor asked for some events in my life. Unfortunately, my plan didn’t matter. There was another path I was meant to walk. I can imagine nothing more painful than prematurely loosing a child. I have had friends who have faced such heartbreak and it seems, although they had to move on with their lives, nothing was ever the same. One couple set up a foundation in his name.to help with mental illness research. I lost my husband when the children were very small. He was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and was murdered in 1980. It changed my life into a cause as an advocate for The Brain and Behavior Research Organization. The proceeds from my book sales goes to that organization that heavily supports research. Turning lemons into lemonade, you might say. I lecture and try to erase the stigma surrounding mental illness. One never knows what is around the corner, so we must live in the now. I think you should reopen your channel. We need all the ‘Over Sixty voices that are out there. Keep on expressing yourself. Warm wishes your way. Sandra

Sandra - Thank you so much for making this video. It has cleared up a lot of questions that I had. I watch a lot of ladies on u-tube speak about useing all of these ingredients but had no idea what they would do for the face. Thank you!

April Gold It’s important to know just why and what these ingredients do to help us. Some products contain several anti-aging ingredients and others like hyaluronic acid you can buy in a liquid. Just read the labels and find the ones that are good for you. Thanks for watching. Have a wonderful day! Sandra

I enjoyed your intro very much. Being happy is just part of who I am. Very good information you shared. Since I started Retin A over three years ago, some of my wrinkles have actually vanished. Never dreamt my skin could be better at 64, than it was at 55. Blessings..MaryEllen

MaryEllen After 60 Your skin does look wonderful. I have seen some of your before and after videos and it is proof Retin A works. I have never used prescription strength, but for years have used over the counter products and they also have seemed to work for me to help slow down the process. Please have a wonderful day and thank you again for watching. Warm wishes your way. Sandra

Thanks for sharing your research! I truly appreciate your advice. I recently read that Marilyn Monroe used Vaseline petroleum jelly to keep wrinkles away. It's supposed to keep the moisture inside. Some claim it also thickens eyelashes! Your skin is beautiful & I don't think I would ever have any procedures done either.

Patricia Burke For years I used petroleum jelly to take off mascara and I still have firm eyelids and no crows feet. Could that be why? I once had a famous dermatologist that worked with the astronauts tell me that Crisco would do the same thing. Go figure!!?? Have a great day. Sandra

Good morning Sandra! Wonderful information. I love the Olay products and I do try to always sleep on my back. As a former sun worshiper I wish I had known a long time ago about the effects of UV rays on the skin. I have been pondering on the same subject lately...great minds think alike...!! :) ...blessings to you today. Hope you have a beautiful Wednesday!...much love from Atlanta...Arlene

Thank you for this interesting and informative video Sandra. All of the affordable products look good. The only issue is that they all seem to contain perfumes or fragrances. Many of us cannot use anything that contains fragrances (or perfumes) due to allergies or illnesses like Multiple Chemical Sensitivities etc. I am wondering if you have run across and products with the ingredients you mention that are fragrance-free? I am always on the lookout for good organic and/or fragrance free products, but they are hard to find, especially in drugstores. Thanks so much! I enjoy your videos and as a fellow content/video creator here on KZbin appreciate the time and effort that goes into making them. You do a great job. All the best! - mu

Soulmadic There are fragrance free skincare products. I know Olay does have some fragrance free products. I am allergic to dyes, so I also always have read ingredients on labels. Hyaluronic acid can be in liquid form with no fragrance and Vitamin C serum also. CeraVe also is fragrance free. Thanks for asking. Sandra

Hi Sandra. I would add another one to the list of 5. Genetic. I have tear troughs that are so bad only surgery will take them away and I honestly cant afford it. We call them in the family the O'Connell (my maiden name) lines. I have them, my dad had them and his brothers. Their children have them. And my daughter has them. My son escaped haha. I am 61 and I have had them my whole life. I went to my GP and asked if they could be done on our NHS and they said no because it is cosmetic and I would just have to deal with it. But then you read about young girls getting breast implant free on the NHS because it is depressing them to have small breasts. Well my lines have depressed me all my life but because of my age the NHS wont do them. I cant even cover them up with concealer or make up and people are constantly asking me if Im tired. Sorry for the long message but just felt I had to rant a bit.
@lifewithsandrahart7 жыл бұрын
Nanny Needs Coffee I do know that genetic traits can be passed on and also why you would like those tear troughs corrected. Concealer helps, but only surgery can really correct that ‘tired look.’ It seems to me that your health system is tilted to the younger population and negating the real fact that obvious tear tracts would be hard to deal with. Does concealer help at least a little? Maybe if a subscriber has a better answer for you, I hope they contribute and comment. Our outside beauty is not as important as our inside light, but I have empathy for you wanting to correct something you can’t. Thanks for sharing and I open there is an answer out there for you. Warm wishes to you. Ssndra

What about an injectable filler like Bellafil or Voluma? Not nearly as expensive as surgery I would think.
