Sounds stupid but can you play all of these songs in the key of C? As levels from what I know he uses some of the black notes in his melody?

With my songwriting method, every song I view in the “key of c”. I never use Roman numeral analysis from minor. I always do it this way. Key of c is all white keys. So I prefer this way as it’s simpler to teach and understand

Avicii didn't write the melody for Fade Into Darkness it comes from Penguin Cafe Orchestra - Perpetuum Mobile, he sample that one from them.

Freak Was A Rip off from an old song, where the singer whistles the melody..

It's called sampling and he didn't rip it off. He sampled the whistling and made the melody different whilst making it into something different. Nothing is original but there's a difference between taking something and making it into something different and ripping something off.
