No, that's not a good idea. Coaches generally won't respond to a parent speaking on behalf of a kid.

NCAA coaches can’t email athletes until they start their Junior year of high school, but can talk over the phone and in person. NAIA coaches can email and talk at any level. Hope this helps!!
