First concert I ever saw was Tom T. Hall with Barbara Mandrell as the opening act at an amusement park near Charlotte. He was awesome. 1977.

I use to have all Tom T Hall albums. I have a friend from Olive Hill Kentucky. He always said he knew Tom T as a kid.

Oh how I loved that man! I could listen to him sing and talk forever! He made you feel like he was singing about you, your life. My heart broke into a million pieces when I heard he had passed away! On Facebook, sometimes, someone would put the question, "if you could sit on this bench and talk to someone alive or dead, who would you want to talk to?" I ALWAYS put "Tom T. Hall! I dreamed of meeting him some day. I guess, to a point, I did meet him when I bought my very first album of his! Faster Horses! Although, I loved every song on it, there was one that stayed in my brain. It was about a little brown suitcase. I lost those albums because of a jerk I married. But, I have since, resupplied them, all except Faster Horses. I will have to check out Amazon to see if it's on there yet. As I said, my heart broke into a million pieces, but, I was so blessed to have been able to listen to him sing for well over 50 years!! I love you, Tom T.!!!
