First of all , much respect from me a very humble tennis fan to Ms Martic , she truly is a very solid and respectable player , yes , she couldn't resist much against the incredible Halep , but you have to accept that this young lady (31? She looks way younger and plays way younger) is truly a fierce opponent versus which you can't walk easily in the park , you can't expect a 100% win against in any match . Ms Halep has always been and is my number one favorite , she is a true goddess of tennis , majestic charisma , a true lioness , you name it . She can teach tennis in Harvard or Oxford as a well-established professor , she is blessed with higher class academical technique , great mentality , and a super strategist second to none . I only wish her serves were more solid . She belongs to such a super class where you can also find Justin Henin and Martina Hingis from the previous generation .

It was a great match by Simona. She has shown impeccable technical skills. It will be a real treat to see her playing against Świątek. They played already twice against each other, in Roland Garros 2020 and in Australian Open 2021. The reason why Emma Raducanu did not face any of the top seeded players is that the top seeded players were not good enough at the US Open. Emma Raducanu was due to meet the top seed Ashleigh Barty in the round of 16 but Ashleigh Barty lost to Shelby Rogers seeded 43 in the round of 32. Emma Raducanu played Shelby Rogers instead winning comfortably 6-2 6-1. Next Emma Raducanu was due to meet No4 seed Karolina Piskova in the semi final but Karolina Piskova lost to Maria Sakkari seeded 18 in the quarter final, Emma Raducanu played Maria Sakkari instead winning in straight sets 6-1 6-4, Next Emma Raducanu was due to meet Aryna Sabalenka seeded no2 in the Final but Aryna Sabalenka lost to Laylah Fernandez seeded 73 in the semifinal. In the final Emma Raducanu played Laylah Fernandez instead, winning in straight sets 6-4 6-3. The other top seeds were not good enough to get past Laylah Fernandez; the only player who could beat Laylah Fernandez was Emma Raducanu. Emma Raducanu won the US Open because she played the best tennis. She won all ten of her matches in straight sets, no one in the main draw could get close to taking a set off her.
