You have to look at what parents are actually doing nowadays, probably working and have little time to watch their kids as they try to earn enough to live. Plus a lot of kids aren't going outside often due to all sorts of reasons, one being the pandemic which forced many to stay home including many kids who were tyring to escape their "shell" and get better, now found themselves stuck inside. Meanwhile, kids and teens alike, depending on where they are, can't exactly go anywhere without parents being worried over their safety and/or suspicions falling on them for being out in the first place. It's not exclusively parents as much as its part of a wider set of problems that exist.

The problem is that they simply aren't trying to, they're doing the literal opposite, they're monetizing it, spreading it (through the algorithim) and basically just encouraging it. This Elsagate Shitshow Sludge is literally thriving when it could be on life support instead, but it isn't, sadly, because KZbin doesn't take much action
