I think Reeves will probably have the script turned in by the end of the year, but what I am worried about now is the new Nolan movie and when it is supposed to shoot. If there is some conflict, Rob should absolutely prioritize Batman 2 imo. Nolan doesn't "need" Robert again like Reeves does. Another delay for this film would be really disappointing.

The description of Zoe in Lanterns interviews so far sort of worry me. I hope they just make her an interesting, complicated, imperfect, and competent woman without bringing constant attention to her womanhood/race or making her insufferable and uncooperative with her male colleagues so the writers can boost their ego making her "strong". The female characters in Peacemaker and suicide squad were great. Hopefully, they don't ruin her character to make another tiresome political statement.

If Reeves' hands in the script around Christmas, late December, they could start pre-production in January. That phase of production usually takes 5-6 months, meaning a June/July start. A 6 month shoot is standard on blockbusters like this, maybe 5 at best or 7 at worst, depending on how smoothly things go. On this schedule they'd wrap principal photography November/December, giving them 9-10 months for post-production, which would be stock standard. Films like this having 12+ months of post-production is a rare luxury. The only official comments we've heard from Matt is he wants to "gear up early next year", if you don''t think gear up means pre-production I don't know what to tell you. This has likely been his ideal plan for production for the past year, but it's been misconstrued by media outlets willingly misinterpreting, misquoting, and misrepresenting his comments, because they see the clear anticipation for this film as easy engagement/clicks. Matt and WB wouldn't have let Rob sign on to shoot 'Die, My Love', 'The Drama', and Nolan's film back-to-back-to-back unless it didn't conflict with Part II at all. Rob wouldn't risk having his contract torn up when he's a new dad and Batman would easily, at least, double any other payday he could get right now. Not to mention it's known Nolan asks his actors to take major paycuts on his films nowadays. Rob's family and team wouldn't even remotely let him fuck up the biggest payday of his career, for a film he's taking a paycut on, when he's just had a newborn.

A December release would mean waiting only two extra months easy. But considering he said the script is nearly done in mid-September, and he has until late December... it's pretty clear they'll make the timeline I mentioned before, easily.

So.. I don't know too many Green Lantern stories, but the first thing that came to mind was the Black Lantern story. No idea who this William Mason character is, but what if he's this the DCU's William Hand? Doing a Blackest Night arc would be too early I think as no major hero or villain has died yet (obviously) but maybe in this show it begins with this conspiracy and the start of this prophecy. Maybe why the JL may be stand together down the line. Hand's story also began on Earth. Could be why we're not seeing the cosmos right away.

This is probably just the YJ fan in me but I am somewhat optomistic they will announce YJ season 5 at that convention (if not just tell us it is for sure cancelled, I hate being in limbo). If we got that trailer just before Lion King and had it as part of the previews in the theaters you could potentially get a lot of the Disney parents that way. Don't question the process Gunn is doing. I think this might be the recipe for success if they can maintain quality. I am intrigued to see how this all goes for The Batman Part 2. We are getting the Superman Teaser Trailer on February 9, 2025 during the Super Bowl, then we will get the Superman Official Trailer sometime in April 2025, then Superman releases in Theaters on July 11, 2025 and is the only film from DC Studios, the reason I know this is true and what is going to happen is because we all know that this year the Deadpool & Wolverine Teaser Trailer came out on February 11, 2024 during the Super Bowl, then we got the Deadpool & Wolverine Official Trailer which came out on April 22, 2025, then Deadpool & Wolverine released in Theaters on July 26, 2024 and was the only film from Marvel Studios.

Boba, I’d love to hear your thoughts on a couple of Superman theories. -What if the baby kaiju from the toy leaks is actually Toto who would turn into Titano? It could tie in with all the rumors of cloning and science experiments that Luther is involved in. He could be using Toto as a test subjects for one of his experiments, and that could lead to him turning into the King Kong sized Titano. -I’m not sure if you’ve talked about this already but what if the black suited figure everyone is calling Ultraman is actually Gunn’s version of Bizarro. He could be a clone created by lex that commits several crimes, which is one of the factors that leads to the government trying to arrest superman like the set photos showed. However, this clone starts to degrade until he looks zombie-like, which leads to Lexcorp (or in this case Luthorcorp) giving him a suit to cover his face until they can find a solution, or just replace him with a new clone. (Side note, this could also be used in the after credits scene to tease Lex combining his own human DNA with the less stable Kryptonian DNA to create Superboy, who could then appear in the teen titans movie)

I see a lot of people trashing Sgt Rock. There's an entire generation that grew up watching WW2 movies starring Lee Marvin, Clint Eastwood, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, John Wayne, and newer ones like Saving Pvt Ryan and Band Of Brothers. I believe there is a big enough audience for a movie like this, especially since they've been trying to make it since the 80s with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis attached at one point. If they write a Dirty Dozen style film and put Rock and Easy Company against The Iron Major and the "bad guys whose name you can't use on KZbin" I think it would be great. But if Gunn is going to start out using more obscure DC properties, he better have writers that are more competent that what Hollywood has had for the past few years or his Phase 1 of movies will end up being the only Phase that he ever gets.

I think the days of movies getting a big bump in audience attendance because a certain actor is attached are largely over. I don't think there are many actors out there who get butts in seats just on name alone. Robert Downey Jr. is probably one, and I'd also say Johnny Depp. Depp especially as he's been relatively quiet since all the Amber Turd nonsense, so if he'd been cast as Luthor it probably would have been a big deal and seen as a potential comeback for him. I'm sure there's probably a couple others out there who might be a draw, but not off the top of my head.

*Question:* *Since you mentioned there will be a Sgt. Rock DCU film in the future,and James Gunn mentions there will be R-rated DCU films mixed with PG-13 DCU films, will the Sgt. Rock film be PG-13 like a DCU version of Captain America or R-rated like a DCU version of The Punisher?* *Hopefully, it's PG-13 since it would help expand demograpic audiences and help said audience 's curiosity and desire to learn about the titular DC superhero character , including myself!* 🤗

I'm all for taking as much time is needed to flush out a script but even I'm starting to get a bit annoyed at Reeves' timeline here. I mean, c'mon man, it's been plenty long enough for you to have finished this up. If it's taking this long to get the final polish then I actually worry it might be missing something. Idk, I trust Reeevs as a writer and surely as a filmmaker. Until he does something to suggest otherwise, I'm gonna trust the script will be great. Just hurry tf up lol.

Grace Randolph says she heard that they will release the Superman trailer on December 9, but only to the press. She thinks it will leak and they should release it December 10 to everyone. She says she doubts it will release in front of the Mufasa movie cuz it's a Disney movie. 🤔 She thinks it's more likely to be in front of the War of the Rohirrim movie.

Continue to cover various things like The Batverse, some Marvel content that interests me (which I've neglected in the past year but used to cover a lot more frequently), other shows like The Sandman, review other things like I used to e.g. HBO's Westworld etc. I always wanted to be a variety channel but being a one man band, it's very hard to cover multiple topics at once in as much depth/rambling I do haha without an editor. Regardless of what happens, I wont stop making content on what interests me :)
