WANNA DATE?!??? When I was in High School, I worked at a record store that also had video rental. The VHS box had a button on the front that you pushed and a little speaker would play "WANNA DATE?!?" 😂

Earlier this year I introduced my friends to the films of Frank Henenlotter and we all had a blast. Henenlotter’s commitment to just having all out fun with the outrageousness of his films while occasionally dipping into some truly freaky stuff is nothing short of amazing. Once we got to Frankenhooker we thought, “How can Frank top himself with this one?” Needless to say, he did just that in more ways than one and Frankenhooker wound up becoming a group favorite (it sits right behind Brain Damage as my favorite Henenlotter film). 😊

Brain Damage is still my favourite of Frank's, but this runs a close second. Patty Mullen is clearly having an absolute blast in this film and has great comedic chops. It might not be Henenlotter's greatest in my eyes, but it's still an absolute classic.

what about Basket Case? Frankenhooker is comparatively very weak, I think. Frankenhooker should have appeared after 30 min into the film, not one hour. The whole movie is a climax for 10 minutes Frankenhooker...

This movie is definitely like a Tales from the Crypt episode.

Basketcase 1& 2 are amazing, and frankenhooker is awesome 👌

Considering Patty Mullen was a Penthouse 'pet' before this film, her comedic timing was excellent.

I'm happy to say I showed this to my wife some months ago and she actually laughed a few times, while shaking her head at the same time of course. Wanted to show her Basket Case but it wasn't available. "Want a date!?" 👁️❤ Henenlotter! And thats awesome how I'm thinking of this being the poor man's Re-Aninator just before you say it. 😎👍 2nd EDIT!-DUDE!...Bill freakin' Murray!? Im just about to watch Scrooged! happy holidays to you AND me😁

Last time I watched frankenhooker was Vhs fest 7 at the mahoning drive-in theater in Pennsylvania. Patty Mullen was there in the snack bar in costume taking pictures all weekend. While frankenhooker was on there were race cars roaring at the demolition derby a mile away and fireworks in every direction. My top cinema experience of all time.

I gotta say at 9:49 I liked how you mentioned that knowing that from when I saw that scene it really does show how this is how you face the consequences of messing with life and death and also this is what happens when you couldn’t move on loving someone different because we can’t blame you for what you didn’t mean for it to happen but you shouldn’t just keep clinging onto what you really miss the most

Frank Henenlotter is kinda like the John Waters of Surreal Body Horror Films Frankenhooker is kind of like Weird Science meet The Man With Two Brains with Steve Martin Meet Re-Animator set in a Taxi Driver style New York City this is one of his best films it's one of the weirdest and most creative horror films i ever seen since i first discovered it this film's tone felt like it belonging to the Adult Swim show Aqua Teen Hunger Force because of it's bizarre tone in humor that was seen in Aqua Teen i think the film remind me of it overall this film is a horror classic of the early 90s and i still remember it to this day thank you for this video Joblo Wanna Date!

I don't know, I find the main character in this incredibly entertaining from his voice to his mannerisms, personality, bags under his eyes and so on. I didn't really miss Frankenhooker before she appeared nor was I going "when's the Frankenhooker going to show up", I was thoroughly enjoying the movie well before then.

"Where's my Johnson!?!" It's like poetry, that final of this movie should have study years ago. Robert Browning Shakespeare Mark Twain Forget those guys, Frankenhooker should what we are studying from.

All art eventually leads to this conclusion. Art, in its many forms, ultimately converges on a fundamental truth or insight about the human experience. This idea can be enriched by referencing Jungian archetypes, which are universal, primordial symbols and themes that recur across cultures and epochs in art, literature, and mythology. In essence, just as art leads us to profound insights about the human condition, the phrase "Where is my Johnson?" can be seen as a symbolic representation of the universal quest for self-discovery and completeness.
