Bernie Bodine I must’ve had a improperly made ring. Even my dealership couldn’t get the ring to fit other Deluxes perfectly.

Beautiful bike! Green paint with whitewalls is awesome! I agree with you the trim rings really make a difference. I had the same fitment trouble with the trim ring on my '16 Heritage Classic. I used some electrical tape to snug up the fit but it never was tight and rattled when touched. Your fix with the o-rings was a better idea. Thanks for posting.

so, I find this video a little useless because of the fact you didn't take time to remove the ring and show your solution. I have the same thing on my 06 Fatboy, and had no trouble with it fitting on with my LED headlight. the inside light holder ring fit perfectly, and the external trim ring fit perfectly also.

The trim ring is supposed to be fitted over/around the original. It is not intended to replace the original.
@00brucewayne006 жыл бұрын
Chad Schneider that’s not correct. This trim is designed to replace the original.

Direct replacement for the passing lamps yes. Per the Harley dealer I just spoke to and per fitting on my bike it is not intended to replace the original for the 7 inch headlamp.

@@DABURG4ME yup I read the Instructions for my trim ring for my road king and it does say, " Loosen original equipment trim ri g screw. Slip new trim ring over original equipment trim ring. The lip on the back of the accessory ring should slip between headlamp housing and original equipment trim ring. Tighten original equipment ring screw. Tighten accessory trim ring screw. "

Hi, I had the same fault with my visors from Harley awful fitting so I used same method as you, now I want to change front lights to led because I love the look of yours, I've found the Adaptive Headlight Model 8790 on JW Speaker site but I can't find the Auxiliary lights you have do you have the code number of yours, I have the same year deluxe as you and think they look great so would like identical, also are these just plug and play or do I need extra fittings, I'm from UK so would rather order all at once than find I've missed something when they arrive. Cheers Ricky

The auxiliary lights are JW Speaker model 6045. All these lights are plug and play, no adapters or extra fittings needed!

Where did you find that solid ring?
@davidnanze86976 жыл бұрын
I installed the same rings on my ultra over the daymaker. Did you see on box where the rings are made? Yep Tiwain. and that's your genuine HD parts.

Doesn’t matter where it was made ,because the tooling with made them will be the same .no matter who makes them.

I heard it don't fit because of your new head lights many are complaining about it.

The diameter of the headlight housing is slightly different in some models. Even with the stock headlight it still didn't fit. I brought the bike and the headlight bezel back to the Harley dealer and they test fitted it on other Deluxes, one which already had a headlight visor, and the same problem occurred. The only answer they can give was that they were not manufactured identically, even as a Harley product.

At least you’re not stuck with that ugly ass gap they use with the street glide or bikes with the fairing. . I just had mine done at the dealership cause they had to wire the passing lights assembly for me. . But I’m not happy with that damn gap. They kept the Irma ring and placed the visor over it.
@tax9059726 жыл бұрын
Your using a non Harley headlight .I used those same visors on my 2010 road king classic.
