i played the first one and i can say, once you start repositioning damaged units in combat, having to distract big towers dealing AOE dmg, healing up and keep on planning your route while not going down with the commander its not that boring anymore. but once you got a working plan for a mission its the same over and over. unless they have that "random" mode again.
