That scaffolding isn't scaffolding, it's part of an early detection system that detects nuclear weapons or missiles. They can be seen in places like Chernobyl, and video games such as COD 4 and PUBG.

Its a radar array called Duga which was an OTH (over-the-horizon) radar system used as part of the Soviet anti-ballistic missile early-warning network. This thing is not satellite-based tho as the satellite network was not well developed. This Game has a LOT of potential. It seems like the places are not really filled with that much interesting stuff just yet, but if they actually do put something worth exploring in these places, it might just becomes something great. But it's always a gamble with hoping on these things, so i prefer to not jump on the Hypetrain just yet. My theory is that the military/ New Light Conglomerate were the ones actually doing the experiments, and the tutorial prologue is just what your character thinks it was like, due to the propaganda spread by the Conglomerate. The fortress is one of their only remaining functional bases on the island, and it was also were the experiments were done, before they were transferred offsite for safety. One or more of the staff were infected by a virus of their creation and the man from the prologue was trying to stop the experimental virus/other experiments from escaping. It didn't work and the Conglomerate makes him into a criminal, his work discredited, and I'm rambling.

The big skeleton by the basalt columns has what appears to be a walking wing. Meaning, that thing either walked or flew into that location, and was killed by the column falling and breaking its neck. While whales used to have legs and still retain some of the skeletal structures for land, I doubt they developed flight. Plus, that skull makes me think Crocodilicus. It's a game. Anything's possible, but I'm calling it a dragon.

my theory is : some scientist made some experiment name *"the new light" conglomerate* that gone horribly wrong. it escaped and spread disease all across the land. animal turn into mutant and maybe infected hundred people. as soon as the army know about the rapidly spreading disease, the general tell some soldier to make defenses. then general tell a few soldier to make a base at (27:05)so they can try and learn the mutation. they (the soldier) seem to get the disease and died out one by one. the general then make defend and make turret to hold the mutation on. but... it was too late.. the mutation somehow break in and destroy almost everything... noone survive... the virus has stop spreading and now it's up too you to either survive or just go around killing mutant. thats my theory. 'bout the city... the disease finally reach the city and infect it. a few survived and you killed them.. -_-" (12:58) well the city become the ghost town where a hundred people who set home there have died and become mutant. the fog was unknown. Heres my theory. The world was about to end also this was like chernobly but stronger and has disasters, A reactor was on a meltdown since an underwater volcano erupted, the eruption was so powerful the basalt columns rosed to the surface and the reactor was affected by the earthquake and blowed up cause massive mayhem later on more earthquakes formed and the sea level rosed and formed a tsunami but the flood quickly ended therefore the whale was left and ate by mutants i guess thats why there is a mutant in the area it was feasting on the body of the whale, anyways thats my theory. Also an underground volcano erupted aswell

I, ME, JOÃO, have a theory to explain it, down at that fortified place must be something that can't be let lose, a virus or a boss or a weapon of some sorts, but, because of the experiments with this unknown thing, the whole fauna and life on the island was mutated, the knowledge we used to know just destroyed itself (like cloverfield). To not let anymore catastrophes happen they sealed whats inside the facility off and fortified the crap out of it. the bodies on the bag should be people that used to work there but slowly became mad mans, the ones who didn't turned in to mad mans yet had to kill them, but some escaped (reason to have mad mans randomized on the map). PS: the ghost girl may be something related to the past of the character and the effects of the madness is making him see things

The end game area is a military complex. When everything first went to hell on the island, the military went there in forc, and evacced as many civilians as possible. The complex was attacked by a large amount of creatures that came out of some sort of yellow portal, then all contact was lost. This is the extent of lore that we know about that area.

My theory is the whale creature had mutated arms and crawled up on land itself to feed. It crawled inland looking for its prey before accidentally collapsing one of the basalt columns on itself. +Alex Williams People just want somethint to complain about. Clickbait technically is anything catchy in a thumbnail or title to entice people into reading/watching. Clickbait CAN include false advertising, like if I put a monster that doesn't exist in the game in the thumbnail, it's still clickbait because it's there to entice you to say "Woah, they fight that creature? I want to watch!!". People cry about clickbait even though they don't fully understand what exactly it is. They act like if they got lured in, even though everything in the title and thumb are true, that it's a bad thing. They think me making them curious or being vague is bad. It's dumb, really. One person below stated that my intro to the video was "clickbait". Clearly, that person doesn't understand the "click" part of the word, but also it shows that they understand clickbait to be anything that would keep someone watching or make them interested. Previous episode convinced me to purchase this game INSTANTLY! Lots of crashes, but never lost more than 10 seconds of progress from those and had a BLAST playing this all of yesterday :D Lots of unfinished and unpolished areas, but this game has a solid foundation with varied... grinding? researching monsters, levelling character, searching for blueprints. Fixed a retranslator and found a bandit outfit armor. Retranslator seems unfinished though as it didn't do anything for me :/ Bandit outfit I found blueprint for during a main story mission. NOT SPOILING WHERE! ;)

I feel like there was some kind of war on this island. That would explain why there is so much military, possibly why the players are called volunteers (they volunteered to go fight), and all the bunkers and bases. There having been a war would explain the tank things as well. I think that maybe the reason that everything on the island is weird is maybe because the scientists in the bases were developing some kind of weapon or something like that, possibly something sentient, and they lost control of it. This would help to explain the mutated animals, and the anomalies (weird radiation stuff that zaps things when they get close, portals, possibly the ghosts) found around the island. If this was the case, then the pod/capsule things found in most of the bunkers and bases could maybe be some kind of protection or stasis, built shortly after the scientists lost control of whatever they were making, for the purpose of protecting some of the people on the island, either until they could find a way to contain whatever had happened, or until it went away on it's own. This might explain the madmen, them maybe having been some of the people in the pods, and whatever these people had lost control of, it somehow got into the pods and they were exposed to it, it's getting into the pods somehow might help to prove that it is sentient to some degree. Another portion of the people in the pods would have been the military personnel, and they were either exposed to less of this thing, or none at all and their pods malfunctioned or were defective, possibly affecting their memory and mental state, not driving them crazy per say but causing them to believe they are still fighting the aforementioned war, making them seem sane even though they aren't completely so. This would explain the bodybags in the seemingly abandoned camp, them having taken care of the dead, similar to what would be done during war. The rest of the people in the pods would have been the various bandits and non-hostile NPCs, the players being the only military personnel to survive intact. The bandits would be easier to explain, they were the people who, having just woken up to a near apocalypse scenario, started doing everything it took to survive, with an every-man-for-himself mentality. What the thing is that caused this has yet to be determined, and I could be completely wrong on all this, but I think this is a pretty good theory, and I've been writing this for about 30 minutes, so I think this might be at least somewhere near the truth. Feel free to reply to this if anyone thinks I might have missed something obvious or that you have a better theory, I really am interested in this, and I want to hear other theories. I love your videos by the way, IGP, so keep being awesome. :)
