@Alyssa Hope I've been following the NHL and the Canucks a good year now and I don't have much knowledge or history of some current or past players but I am aware of them. I was certainly made aware by JT Miller's imperious form from last season. Watching highlights of course, I got to see some amazing plays he was an integral part of, and when I first heard about his contract signing, I was over the moon as I knew this surely would spearhead the team this season towards a playoff spot. So far, I have to be honest, ever since that happened, he's a shadow of who he was last season. A one trick pony that has since shown himself up to believe in his own hype and think because he's signed for many seasons, he doesn't ahve to do many hard things. It's pathetic how far he has fallen, and that I'm afraid is why big money contracts are a bad idea, because so far anyway, he's financially sorted for life! I'm pretty sure that in any paid job, if you don't pull your weight, you run the risk of being let go. Miller should be NO different. He thinks he can get away with his behaviour because he's a big signing and guys like Delia aren't. Pathetic from a guy I really thought would come good at Vancouver. Unless he changes his attitude, he should be shown the door. I'm disappointed in him. I really am. I was considering buying a jersey with his name on it, but until he mans up and starts playing hockey, I can forget it.

Ryan Kesler was competitive and while I railed on him for demanding a trade out of Vancouver when he saw they were on the way down, I never questioned his work ethic in any respect while he was a Canuck. Ever. JT Miller has a strangle hold on the organization and he acts like it. Kesler was great in all areas of the game while here, whether he had the puck or not. When Miller doesn’t have the puck, he’s a ghost. I’ve watched the Canucks since 1990 and defended a lot of players, including Pavel Bure, who was disrespected by the organization. Miller is a prima Donna. He’s a minus 13 and never takes responsibility for anything. I don’t care what his contract is, either trade him for whatever or bench him until he grows up.

I agree with you... if he's openly comfortable with verbal aggression against a teammate, what's he like at home? The optics ARE bad, and I see this as visible evidence that there really is a serious problem under the hood.

Can you imagine 2 canucks players fist fighting each other during a game? I wouldn't be surprised if it happens soon. Total mess in the locker room at the moment.

Honestly, that was outrageous behavior from Miller. I’ve never been a fan of calling out teammates during a game, and this was embarrassing. The only other incident I recall, is when goalie, Chris Terreri, yelled at Ken Daneyko after Daneyko blocked his view, leading to a goal. Terreri put his arms out in front of himself, and made the “move over” gesture to Daneyko, in front of the home crowd. It bugged me so much, that I remembered it clearly to this day.

He wanted trust. Miller wanted the plan to go to plan. Delia secondguessed what was achievable and worth the risk, made his own descion, and JT's reaction wasnt great, like he said, optically. It's teammate/teammate/coach stuff that is a non-story until it happens more often with the same group. Happy New Year, AH! Best wishes this year and beyond!

He wanted trust??? He should have moved to the offensive zone to allow Delia to leave the crease! Not only was he moving in the wrong direction but had a Jets player on his heels. He had, maybe, grounds last season to 'act' like a captain when he was on the ice ordering his teammates around. Just poor behavior on JT's part especially this season when he has been the give away teammate. He needs to be benched and get an attitude adjustment.

That back pressure JT Miller had would make me nervous to leave the crease too. Anybody not named McDavid holding the puck and I'm probably hesitating to leave. But I can understand Miller wanting the trust of his goaltender but he didn't handle it anywhere close to the right way.

miller wanted a no trade for this year too. they wouldn't give him that. i wonder if he wants to make sure no one else wanted to trade for him. he sure isn't the JT of last year..hope they never make him captain.. he isn't leading by example now.

Please stop making excuses for JT. He has always played like he is a star player, when he has been on the ice suggesting to his teammates how to position themselves, which he is not. Not even close this season. If he ever leads the Canucks when Bo leaves then we will see the team's down slide. No question about it.

Having played organized hockey I get it. Some guys don't express themselves in a proper fashion and it's an emotional game at times. He should buy his g a good meal and apologize like an adult no biggie.
