@hobocarnival I appreciate the kind words. The good news is that we have investigated the cocnerns and eventually replicated the issue. It seems there were a few QC issues with random models. This has now been identified and resolved at the manufaturing end, so all models going forward will no longer have this issue. Matches my experience with other CO2 pistols. Sometimes, the knocker valve is just under so much pressure from the CO2 that the hammer doesn't have the strength to get it to release enough gas to cycle the action. On top of that, they just don't seem to last or be as reliable as my green gas guns have. Then my mag experience has been about a 40% chance of getting a mag that works right

Co2 usually preforms more reliability in the cold because of this, when the mags are so hot, being outside, you run into the light striking

not sure wats wrong with ur gun, but i’ve stress tested my EF 1911 tac and it works fine in 90 degree weather. i’ve put 80 co2 cartridges and 10,000 rounds throu it and it’s perfectly fine and is in very good condition.

@@Ws_minion not sure how y’all r breaking pretty well built guns, my whole EF 1911 tac is stock and original parts with the original mag. u do have to take it apart and oil it after 75 mags just like u have to do with real guns. it’s called weapons maintenance for a reason. u have to do weapons maintenance on any gun to keep it at its top shape

Out of the box I found you want to give it a wipe down, pull through the barrel & apply your preferred variety of lubrication. Did this and saw 3 1/2ish magazines consistently out of one co2 bulb.

It's cool to see more airsoft versions of the Steyr handguns. I have a real steel L9A1 and it's fun. The sights are very cool with the trapezoid shape, and the recoil is so smooth with the low bore axis.

As far as Im aware, asg dont make guns themselves. They're a lot like umarex and get other companies to OEM their guns for them, likely that the L9 and the P09 were made by different manufacturers

Yeah my CZ is also around 3 years old and still the only pistol I use. It‘s so busted up at this point that most of the metal parts lost a lot of their coating, still works perfectly though

It’s most likely not oiled enough. The slide is probably causing to much friction combined with not enough oil to lubricate the slide.

It's probably the immense amount of heat over pressuring the co2 canisters. These types of issues can be solved with better hammer designs which I believe the latest TM glocks have.

I had to give my L9 a deep clean as the oil and lube from shipping was everywhere. Once that was done it performed as expected and haven't had any issues with mine... Maybe I'm lucky or maybe you got a dud... hopefully the latter!

A tip for Ryan, I also have the VZ61 and this gun need more lubrification than usual on the moving part and after that it is a laser :)

Looks like nozzle lock up. The mag is either seated too tight with the gas seal rubbing on the nozzle or its some fitment issue between the nozzle and the chamber/rest of the gun not being aligned. If you pull the slide back and it has trouble effortlessly seating into battery, it may be worth LIGHTLY sanding down the gas lips on the nozzle.

I dont know whats up with ASG pistols, had 3 P-09s gas and CO2 and none worked properly. Gonna stick with my AAP01, best pistol I ever bought, stock outperformed everything I had to this point.

A Rule of Thumb that someone From Evike gave me, "Assume that the BBs that come with the airsoft Gun, are the same weight that were used to Chrono for the info on the box.

Update(*** I received my ASG STEYR L9A2 MF and have had it for a couple of days now and put about 10mags through roughly with the 2 c02 mags i have and the REPLICA I have works great.? No light strikes hop up is finicky as you said but but factory mag and spare mag work great the gun has consistant recoil every shot. Outside temp was around 68° as it was raining off and on and then 77° around last cpl mags fired with same results. So maybe ya got a lemon🤷‍♂️ or just needs a break in maybe

It would be silly to buy a GBB and only learn how to fix mags. i was just giving one example of what you might need to do with a new gun, since so many brand new mags are leaky. do you need more? most guns aren't properly lubed in the factory. the grease that you use later on will undeniably be different than what the factory used, and mixing grease is a really really bad idea. So when you first get a gun, you should first strip it down and relube it with what you personally use. so many different parts can and will fail. and often times you get those issues on a brand new gun. your gun won't cycle. you'll get double feeds. your hop won't work. Why? your hop rubber dried out, your barrel warped, your nozzle cracked, or your gun isn't properly lubed! For example on a brand new action army aap01, the slide won't fully return, simply because the factory didn't lube it. even the most reliable GBB will fail. like the nozzle spring on an MWS, or the slide on a Hi capa. All of these things fall under 'general maintenance' Unless you're willing to pay someone to do it for you, you're going to need to know how to do general maintenance on a GBB or else it won't work properly.

But if i was to choose airsoft, which gun do you recommend i use? A quality gun at a reasonable price. Not the cheapest. If theres 2 or 3 guns that are similar in price and quality (accuracy, etc) aeg's preferably. TiA

Honestly I think co2 pistols aren’t the move for south cali maybe it has something to do with the heat or humidity but I’ve always had problems with co2 there but green gas has always worked for me
