I got my bottle about 2 years ago based on Ashes comments. When it came I was not blown away, but it has grown on me significantly. This is very wearable Oud and I’m happy to have a bottle like this in the collect. I find my self wearing it for me. I also wear Gucci absolute for me which has turned into one of my favorite unique scents.

I grabbed a decant of this and thought it was nice enough, but felt i had plenty of other frags with a similar feel that i liked more so didn’t purchase a bottle. I kinda get a toned down la nuit dlhomme vibe from this one. Nice vid as always chad.

I just bought a bottle at Macy’s downtown Chicago few months ago. My friends in Europe say it’s stocked many places. Apparently according to a Versace rep, it’s a region exclusive scent. Discontinued for the USA yes, overall no it isn’t.

Here is the thing, dry down is great, however first 1 hr, too heavy on pepper which can't spray too much but drydown is skin scent, so it's ok, tf is much better softer and wearable

Good morning Chad. This was my first introduction to Oud type of fragrance. You have to get use to this one. Its strong with the wood notes. Has that nice leather scent. My 16 year old tried it, and was repulsed by it 😁. But yes, wiith this one , definitely try before you buy. You nailed it with the longevity as it lasts 10 hours. Good review 👍

@@marco7838 Never had Tom Ford. I can still smell the Versace on my skin after 6-8 hours, but I don't think it projects well. I got the Parfum version of Dior Sauvage and will get compliments at work, but nobody has really noticed the Versace Oud yet. I do still smell it on my work clothes the next day, so I'll continue to wear the Oud instead of spraying another cologne on my work clothes between washes.

I do like Oud Noir, but I find the top note a bit plasticky smelling. The drydown is really good, but overall, I prefer Boss Bottled Oud.

Don’t you find Versace Oud compared to Versace Man ( purple bottle) that you reviewed with Redolesence in New York. Versace Man (purple bottle) is my signature fragrance. I just ordered 2 hard to find bottles from Montreal.

No I don't. I find the original to be quite heavy in tobacco more than Oud Noir. They are both deep and dark though.

Haven't smelled that one in the longest time so I don't know. I haven't smelled it in a very long time because I've been traumatized from the Tobacco Oud which I cannot stomach so that's a reason why I stayed away from it.

Interesting point 🤔🤔. Have not tried scent bird as I am here in Ontario Canada and could not be bothered with the dollar exchange and shipping charges. But yes, I have had issues with some fragrances that were purchased from discount sites. Did not smell like the ones from department stores 》》 longevity was poor, concentration did not seem right?? Could be an older batch?? Expired bottle ( which I was sent plenty of times, reformulated scent ). Then you start looking at the batch codes. Which is also interesting, because some bottle batch codes could not be found. Fake Parfum?? Possible. In my 33 plus years in this game, and over 420 bottles later, I do my homework when purchasing on discount sites. Especially when buying niche brands. I ask for a batch code FIRST. My first introduction to Oud scents. This one has been D/C like Chad states. So try before you buy if possible. I know when I purchased this years ago at Hudson Bay, it was around the 70 dollar range. Has that middle Eastern scent to my sense of smell

The most wearable oud scent I've worn has been PDM's Haltane. My personal favorite scent of all time, but this one is really nice. I wear it out of the shower before bed. The opening is intense but the dry down is majestic with this stuff. I would definitely recommend this as a starter oud.
