Name the tire compounds according to a number rating system. 1=hyper, 2=ultra, 3=super, 4=soft, 5=medium, 6=hard, and eliminate the super hard. Make the color code so that numbers and colors become associated with each compound. This would make it easy to identify a compound on a moving car by its color, and easy to talk about by number. Intermediates and wets should be the same color but inters only have one colored band around the side wall and wets with two, again for ease of identification on a moving car.

Its not about high degradation or low degradation. Its about quality and predictability of tyres which allow drivers to push to the maximum. Banning the fuel flow restriction would help too. Ever since Pirelli imposed tyre pressure and camber limits on their tyres after Silverstone 2013, the tyres have become way too hard and unpredictable to drive on. Pirelli also lack confidence in their product. We need a tyre war to push the limits of the tyres and just allow the drivers to race unhindered by the limitations of the tyre. Thats how you get races like Austin.

Regarding tyres (and especially Mercedes), I think there is an easy way to save an extra tyre set for the race for the top 3 teams: Don't go out on the softest tyre in Q2 after having set your time. It never seems to be necessary, is a complete waste of a fresh tyre set and if every now and then it would backfire (which I think would hardly ever happen), they're fast enough to make it back to the front within a few laps anyway.

There’s been a lot discussion about making the races better, last week with the “no practice” debate and now about having fast degrading tyres, but I think people have to remember that F1 is supposed to be about teams and drivers racing to be the best. And you won’t find out who is the best if there are so many variables. I think that practice should remain and there shouldn’t be faster degrading practice. People nowadays are solely focused on making F1 entertaining which is sometimes good but, a lot of people are forgetting what F1 is about.
@mathewhosier16636 жыл бұрын
Baylisted f1 is about pushing the engineering and technology to its limits but at the same time reigning in when there's an unfair advantage, for the mid pack to get better they have to invest more money but that's solely dependent on where you finish in points, so we are chasing our tail, the best team s earn the most money so they can invest more into their cars, f1 will always be this way until they reign in the costs

Very bad idea! That would make things worse! One of the most important issues teams face is balancing the low fuel single lap speed with race pace because of the parc ferme rule immediately they role out of the garage for qualy. Some teams are kinder on their tyres in the race but can't switch them on easily in qualy while others can generate the necessary tyre temperature for a single lap but struggle in the longer runs. If they did what you just said, the fastest team on Saturday would easily be the fastest team on Sunday because they don't need to make any qualy-race setup compromises.

Fernando A. (he speaks Spanish) DNF, 3. Daniel R. (pole sitter) DNF, 4. Romain G.? (finished ??last), 5, Lewis Ham. (won the title already weeks ago) and last but not least the man that did feature only 0,026th of a second in this video..well actually not at all.. Max Verstappen (2nd time race winner in Mexico). On top af all that - after the race Hamilton stole the show from the race winner with his obligatory donut and pumping up the public - like he did last year. And he was not on the podium - like he was not last year. Yes you guessed right I'm Dutch (Amsterdam).
