Hornady has a retail finder on their website. May help you track down some of the Hornady Black. It's still the best, most accurate ammo I've shot in my Grendel uppers. Also, get one of the world's cheapest trimmers off ebay. Best 23 bucks you can spend if you're loading.

@@kevinroberts9580 LOL the last time I picked up the Longbow was the last video I made with it. Something tells me I can still hit a water bottle 6 out of 5 times at 20 yards.......? Nice job that you solved the issues as to me it happens to us all no matter how proficient you are at anything as we all have those moments....I was at Turners on Black Friday and dropped a mag behind the counter while holding a pistol because I accidentally pushed the mag release so I just put my head down and handed the gun back over as I felt like a million dollars and just laughed it off....Gotta love it sometimes....Nice shooting at the end and enjoy your times ahead....Good stuff...

@@WTFSoCal A lot of your recipes are keto friendly or close, which is why I like them (not the damn cookies though!, those were GOOD). It's easy once you pass the first 2 weeks- keep the potassium, sodium and magnesium up). Reached goal weight in july and kept going. Tons of energy- physical and mental- no coffee needed. I hike with the plate carrier and (2) 11x14 plates now. Couldn't do that before. Fitness is one of the best Preps. Thx for your videos.

I had to share. In ShotgunNews they had stainless grendel barrels, clearance. Won't say where but I picked up one for about 35 bucks, hit or miss right? I assumed it was just a pinker and I'd try David Fortiers short grendel setup, had it cut and pin and welded to 14.5. Jeez was I wrong. It was a laser pointer. Best rifle i own. My fave.

I'm staying away from Factory ammo for now. After buying my Savage 7-08 I tried a factory ammo that felt very powerful. It was somewhat wide at 100 yards. The last 4 rounds I opened and find that they were at their max load, and a few were over board. I don't push any of my weapons that hard.
@WTFSoCal6 жыл бұрын
really depends on the powder that determines max load... you could feasibly load a case full and still have a very slow velocity

I was going to mention the space taken up by the old style handguard 'plate' for lack of a better term....I saw it somewhere online, but don't remember where..you were right about the thickness being about equal to two thicknesses of standard printer paper...it was described as about the thickness of a standard business card...I'm going to hafta check with BCA on the same subject, post-holidays...on the subject of alignment...HB industries has a set of pins that assist the builder in aligning the gas port with the gas block: hbindustries.net/store/shop/ar15-gas-block-aligner-5-56mm/ Of course this is all 'after the fact' - you have everything set up and functioning quite well....perhaps some other builder will benefit from this...I forget where I saw the this tip, but if you get a piece of standard aquarium air tube (it's a bitch to do it) but take one end of the tube and attach it to the end of the gas tube coming through the upper and blow through it - if your port and gas hole are aligned you'll hear your breath coming though the muzzle....it worked for me when I installed a low profile gas block on my 16 in carbine...I also used a pencil and straightedge to indicate the location of the gas port as a reference when I installed the gas block...
