I am 19 years old, I recently moved to the USA from Ukraine and I am interested in the profession of a truck dispatcher. I have no understanding of this business and I also noticed that this business is not doing very well right now. What should I expect and should I start and do I have a chance to finish courses or dispatcher school with a future good job and salary and what can you recommend?

Why do brokers even exist? I disagree on getting and keeping contracts. If you do your part, they do theirs. Thats why its a partnership. You stay or leave. Whats a broker going to do better? Nothing.

Rates are low because they can be low. Third world immigrants are driving the trucks now and they'll work for nothing. That's why your rates are low. That's why I immediately specialized and got into doing stuff that immigrants can't do. High security hazmat.

Legal immigrants, can do high security hazmat so perhaps you are specializing in something that will soon be exploited just like every other niche in the trucking business. In my 20 years, so far in this industry I have seen special niches such as automotive parts expedited, crossborder Canada and Mexico, reefer, flatbed, tradeshows, box trucks all got exploited and people do it for free almost. One of the last niches to get destroyed will be hazmat.

Yep just heard about a guy, my friend knows in his mid 20s from India snuck into America from Mexico now he’s driving truck for someone for dirt cheap man. I sure hope Trump gets rid of all these illegals taking our trucking away !
