@@Remmyrouser Usually, but sometimes it's better for even Sparg0 to hang back, especially against Sonic. He should always take the opportunity to ledge trap, but otherwise charging Limit often means the difference between taking and losing a stock, it completely changes neutral, edgeguards, recovery, punishes, etc.

@@ninjaoflight908 I mean he's playing Cloud. Tbh Cloud is not that good, if its top tier its mainly thanks to Spargo who is a monster with him, otherwise Cloud is at most high tier. So to be this good with Cloud he needs to be agressive. If he plays slowly he will get destroyed, the power of Cloud is its speed and its aggressive playstyle. If Spargo starts to play more patient we will see the limit of Cloud at top level

it's cool how simple yet effective sparg0's gameplan was. he was just like ok, sonix stays on ledge a lot, Cloud dash attack. sonix will spin dash from ledge, Climhazzard. idk if Cloud is the pick in the longrun but it def worked here

Watching sonix shake his head in frustration, brings me joy. Because i feel frustration watching sometimes.

Sparg0 does something against sonic (and sonix) that nobody else is able to exploit. A seldom talked about weakness of sonic is his susceptibility to being leegetrapped. You’d think Sonic’s insane mobility would grant him better ability to get off the ledge but he can struggle. Spin dash/charge don’t have I-frames in the air, homing attack is easy to react to from the ledge, and his approaching aerials are unsafe on shield. Usually sonic can bypass the ledge altogether with his recovery, but somehow Sparg0 is really good at forcing sonic to ledge where they get cornered without their feet on the ground. It obviously helps that cloud has good ledge trapping, but there are a multitude of characters that can do what’s necessary to trap Sonic. Good stuff to Sparg0 and top players need to study him
