Byron Mann and Marc Dacascos did a movie together back in the 90's called Crying Freeman which is an anime adaptation. It is an okay film and a guilty pleasure of mine.

I used to be against these fantasy elements to Asian Action Movies/TV but after the Twitch streams of all the bonkers Shaw films with the crazy fantasy stuff I never saw before , I am down for a one time silly fantasy show, so long as Iko’s next thing is back to grounded stuff. Sure some of it was real bad I know & goes against everything I like about these Action shows/Movies but just this once I’ll have watch. The. I can always go back to the classics like Police Story, The Raid, Drunken Master 2, Enter The Dragon, etc to cleanse the palette.

CGI was so bad, but action scenes were okay not as good as the raid series or the night comes for us or headshot or even merantau, story? hmmm yeah pretty generic for martial art, but i finished the whole season 1 episodes just to support iko love that guy he's such a badass yeah holywood tend to take these great martial artists for granted such a shame....

I'm a little disappointed, it's look kinda cheesy, fantasy and supernatural with martial arts, wirework, it wasn't Iko's style that i hoping for.. But I still watch it only for Iko Uwais. Btw, have you see Iko's first big film "Merantau(2009)"?? It's awesome movie!

I think Iko still in progress and having a long road to be the top action actor in Hollywood, he chose acting in several kinda b+ rate movies for portofolio and rise an awareness in Hollywood that he's also worth & serious in movie bizz. I guess.
