I can vouch for adrenaline. Was in a fist fight, got stabbed in the gut, it only registered to me as a hard punch. I held my side and kept hitting him with a my fists. Honestly (we were both 13), the knife didn't register. I'm hella fortunate that he didn't stab me again. Not sure why, but he ran away. I took my bike and was going to ride home. A friend pointed out a small tear in my favorite shirt. I pulled it up, there was an about 1/2 inch cut, with a little bit of bleeding. Luckily for me, a lifeguard noticed the wound was puckered, which meant it was a deep wound. By the time the Paramedics got there I was going into shock. I'd been stabbed in the stomach (the organ) and was bleeding internally. So, I bearly felt it, it required exploratory surgery. So, John getting shot in the gut, even with a 22, is going to penitrate into vital organs. He could've finished up that fight, but would've been in a hospital for days.

08:00 this Korean dude says it is unrealistic to shoot while driving alone, yet Keanu Reeves actually pulled that stunt off, he trained driving and shooting with special experts in both fields and then trained a hell lot more just to do both at the same time, so IT IS ACTUALLY very realistic, that someone (in this field of work [assasination]) could probably pull this off, if they were extreme to the amount that john wick is extreme and special. So it is realistic, just not something that normal military would try to do on a regular basis. this sums it up much more correctly and professionally then the statement from this korean gentleman.

Regarding folding your pistol in, i find it curious he critiqued not extending his pistol all the way out just because he had space. Theres pros and cons. Holding a pistol at full length is almost equivalent to holding a short barrel rifle fully extended. While going down a hall, lets say hes passing different rooms, I was taught to collapse into a high ready with a rifle, same with a pistol, as it exposes you less to an open threshold giving any person inside a room less time to react to your presence. Not to mention that when you hold the pistol away from your body it gives you less leverage on it meaning someone can take it away or lower your gun easier compared to firing from the pocket or hip firing. So, given he's sneaking around in a scenario where people are jumping out at him around every corner, I don't think it's implausible.
@liecretsev6 күн бұрын
maybe that's why he said it's a yes and no
@mantism.d.83635 күн бұрын
He was really only talking about the spots where John 100% has a comfortable scenario to go long, but is still folding, just to kinda look tacticool. He never talks about breaching an open doorway and such. But I think that falls under the close quarters umbrella automatically in his mind, or an acceptable situation to fold up. At the end of the day, he said go long if and whenever possible, which is absolutely correct. Nobody trains walking through a standard doorway, fully extended.

First time I have seen someone discussing how to correctly throw a knife on KZbin. It's a common movie mistake to show it flipping edge over edge. This causes the blade to spin uncontrollably, due to air friction. You actually want to throw it flat side over flat side like the guy said. The knife shouldn't make more than 2 full rotations before it hits the target either.
@nightshade724012 күн бұрын
Distance throwing, the knife shouldn't rotate at all. That's why the competition knife throwing community worked out the no spin throw that doesn't require you to throw with the flat.

I don’t think that’s what he said at all. A. It’s a movie so there’s no reason to ask realism from it, but B. He confirmed several times how he understood the mindset and actions of John Wick and would do the same thing in many scenes. Dude didn’t say it was entirely unrealistic at all unless there was a certain circumstance with multiple enemies. He also said several times that most of the scenes were possible. He said the film wasn’t meant to be 100% realistic, but that’s obvious. Also it’s a given that John Wick is more than a regular human.

13:43 well, i really respect him but i have another opinion in here. 'Instant death' is quite rare unless there is damage to the brainstem and spinal cord, or very extensive damage to the cerebrum, and there's many proof from who got brain damage caused by shot from someone else, or even themselves. So i think that scene might be the same case. If the bullet went through cerebrum clean enough and did not touched spinal cord, he could possibly be alive.

I dont agree with the valuation of the club scene. He says john wick did not need to keep his fire arm close when he walked through the hallway. However he forgot to notice that when john wick entered the club room through that hallway and anyone could have been standing next to the entrance waiting for him or aiming at him. Which means if he held his fire arm far out it be the first thing to enter the room and get tagged which would be unfavourable for john wick and this theory is further supported by the very next scene when john enters into the room from the hallway he looks both ways to make sure no one jumps on him when his guard is down.
