Was thinking it over while smokin bones in the staircase. Then someone started throwin darts and I had to flip it real quick to protect my neck. Managed to smash that Gilligan boat with ice, grab my liquid sword and bust them fools with the short arms and deep pockets. It was a set up to get wet up, they got my goose. But couldn't scatter the feathers. Then the Angels came thru with the funyuns and cream joints, after that outta state-for-cakes mission. After walkin these dogs, we stopped for some ice cream. Then went back to shakin jakes n bringing da ruckus. When we finally got to the chef up north, turned out the A-rab lady in drag wombed 'em. Mad situations got me blowin them nines yo, for real. Some real motion picture shit, nahmean. Ayo, I don't care who it is. Drake, Aubrey or Wheelchair Jimmy. Them vagina bombs can't tangle with god. Life as a shorty shouldn't be so ruff. Moral of the story: I'm really feeling like a hot coffee with a danish right now.

Still adamant that Deck is the most talented, GZA is too smart and RAGU is still like my Belichick/Brady combo. But I've realized that 90% of the shit I listen to is Ghost. He's like a fine wine, acquired taste. Once you figure it out there's no going back. And I fucking hate wine. I'm even listening to the Amy Whinehouse joint on a regular. lmfao

Man that Mystery of Chessboxin video did it for me, my life as a rap fan changed as soon as I saw that Wu logo and the Kung Fu sample. Memphis didn't get the Protect your Neck wave, "Method Man" was cool I like "okay I like," but yo... it was a wrap when U God came in. Dudes in Memphis was heavy on the Texas stuff, 3-6 was selling tapes out of Stereo stores, in high school I was like the one East Coast dude and everybody knew I was the one to go to for Wu Tang talk.

Damn man!, I’m thinking 🤔 to myself - what if none of the record labels gave them a deal because of how many people are in the group? What if Rza Gave up and told them that they have to break up into several groups or solo artist to get record deals? This was real dicey. This could’ve been a world without a group called Wu Tang Clan, scary thought 😳

That came from Looney Tunes(Bugs Bunny). A lot of the bars came from 1970's cartoons. Meth said "Shropshire Slasher"....that's another Looney Tune character. I don't know how old u are, but the rhymes are relative to a generation on one dimension but on another level the bars appeal to another generation because it's unheard of from today's lyricists.

The 54:00 with Ghost telling the story about the deer got me. Describing the deer as a grandfather and calling it a ni@@a had me rollin at the same time I feel bad for the deer...then Ghost and Rae at 56:00 mark suddenly start talking in a serious tone about soap operas being cancelled...I swear these cats funny af. Listen to Ghost and Rae "Maxine." I grew up on the Eastside of Detroit and was 10 when crack hit hard in the mid-80s. I remember being around older cats who were gettin money and were no nonsense kinda fellas. Then we'd hear and see them around the way interacting, debating, and arguing amongst each in heated discussions and we'd hear and see some of the most effortlessly hilarious stuff from them. Rae and Ghost have always stuck me as those kinda dudes...even Cappa is laughing to himself throughout this video at some of the stuff they're saying.

@HEAT1996 you need to separate the marketing here from the artistry. Metallica made metal more mainstream (not something I myself admire) and Kiss was mostly about gimmicks (the face painting, the outfits, the staging etc etc and indeed marketing. Wu was not about those things, it was about hardcore rapping, no gimmicks, no chorus even at the beginning, just bars , hard ass beats and a big ass crew that were all talented in their own way. The wu wear and such, came later as a side effect due to their succes as artists. But they were definitely good at marketing their clothing and other gear. If they were to be compared to anything at the top of my head now... I would compare them to something like the ghetto x-men. But the opposite...an all villain crew. All with their own powers and one leader Rza.

Jo... that album was so ill. Ghost was saying shit that I suppressed in my ego so I wouldn't be a criminal. But to her an artist projecting all these ill thoughts was like letting me do that shit in my imagination without guilt. That glaciers of ice beat is the illest beat of all time. Thank yall for this! And thank the gods for the purple tape jo

They are right about Barbados, that’s where my families from. Tips won’t make the staff smile especially they went to a motel. They would’ve had to gone to the high-end hotel called the crane for smiles from a $200 tip. The island people still look at Americans as a different kind of slave or they’re extremely jealous of them.
