Few have shaped modern-day rap aesthetics like Mobb Deep, and if you want more of a fix on these guys then you're in for a treat. Havoc and Prodigy tell the tale of their journey through hip-hop’s mean streets in this article: daily.redbullmusicacademy.com/2013/11/mobb-deep-interview-2013

Interviewer is deep in the culture too. At one point he tells the audience to shout out all the crews influenced by mobb Depp. If that's not a respectful interviewer then what is?

I want to put words to something. It wasn't that we benefitted from the music or the group, but the actual friendship. One of the illest friendships in hip hop, and the music, etc. was a product of that. RIP P
@octagonseventynine1253Ай бұрын
Havoc talked a lot of shit about P. They weren’t really friends towards the end, they were business partners.
@greglongmore6503Ай бұрын
@@octagonseventynine1253 He is on tape saying when they got to Vegas they were restarting the friendship. He's said it several times. I had a best friend who talked plenty shit about me, last conversation I had with him was at his funeral. I'm positive we would have made up by now. It's like that between brothers sometimes.

I'm glad I found this nugget. A person would be hard pressed to convince me that he's a bigger mobb deep fan than me. Then my favorite rap group. I put run DMC before them because they are run DMC but technically mobb deep is my favorite group because I listen to them and hardly ever listen to any run DMC except when I'm feeling really nostalgic. Mob deep is my guys. Prodigy forever. Havoc forever. Hav, You stepped it up something stupid. I've been in prison most of my life staying in tune.
