I personally think doing sala with nailpolish is fine. Because Firstly we must apply nailpolish after wadu. Now our nails are clean and coated with nail polish. Since water can't enter dirt can't enter either. So doing wadu with nail polish should be fine. Wadu is mainly done for spiritual cleanliness and also partly physical cleanliness.

It's not nails getting dirty that breaks wudu. In your situation if you break wudu you wouldn't be able to do it again because the nails are covered.

Regarding the 2nd opinion, can you point us to evidence in the time of Rasulullah (saw) where someone applied something, anything, to any part of their body, out of preference, not necessity, and it was then considered a part of their limb and able to be made wudu over? Regarding the 3rd opinion, even if nail polish followed the rule of mas'hah, then it must follow all the rules. So a woman would have to completely remove it every 24 hours for wudu and then could re-apply it. But we don't even need to get that far, mas'hah is allowed on particular parts of the body and under certain conditions. The hands are not one of those parts.

During wadhu the water should touchhhh your cuticles okay?
@layyyyy35402 жыл бұрын
Yes but having fake nails obviously water cannot touch your cuticles because the nail gel covers it.

“Personal opinion” is not a guidance. Qiyaaas? If you want to analogy would mean that the original thing that you are doing the analogy with is valid in the first place Habibi. Otherwise there is no internet analogy with something which is baatil.

@@kanizfatima1377 Sister, should you not rather ask yourself if this brother in the video has any proof for what HE is saying? The judgement for wiping on socks has very specific conditions related to it. The hadith from the Prophet (sallallahu ^alayhi was-sallam) that makes it permissible to wipe on socks refers exclusively to foot coverings. If it is not permissible to perform wudu' while wearing gloves (and it isn't), then why would it permissible to perform while wearing nail polish? These two situations are not analogous at all. Secondly, on what basis is this brother saying that nail polish becomes "part of her body" when a woman puts it on? When performing wudu', if there is a barrier which prevents water from reaching the part to be washed, and that barrier CAN be removed (which nail polish can), then it MUST be removed.

@@xshiromorix but it's permissable to dye your hair. If you can make wudu over that can't you do the same with nails?
@xshiromorix3 жыл бұрын
@@nijhaspencer9163 No. It is permissible to colour your nails with a stain such as henna or the like, just as it is permissible to dye your hair, and you can make wudu' over stained nails, but nail polish is not a stain; it's a varnish. The difference is that, unlike a stain which only changes the colour of your nails, the nail polish creates an impermeable barrier between your nails and the water. You can test this yourself by painting nail polish on a piece of paper and then putting water on it. You will see that the water doesn't soak through to the paper underneath. A condition for the validity of wudu' is for water to reach every part that must be washed, and that includes the fingernails. If you were to put on nail polish after having made wudu', you could pray while wearing it, but at such time as you needed to make wudu' again, you would need to remove the nail polish completely, make wudu', and then reapply it. It doesn't really seem worth the effort.
