@@Kmarteezy oh sorry didn't have time to explain properly. you need a usb to butooth adapter, which lets you connect a dual shock 4 to a nintendo switch. not every blutooth adapter works for this (you can find lists of which ones do online i think) but the bottom line is that you can still save money if you already happen to have a blutooth adapter and even more if you already happen to own a PS-4

Note: The SN30Pro 8Bitdo has exactly the same problem with the analog stick. Less in the case of the dead zone (but there are users who complain about that as well), but mainly in the total course of the stick. Updating the contole to 1.30 solves the problem on the PC, but not on the Switch.

3:35 Thanks for showing this! Other controllers also have that external deadzone and axis snapping too, the Hori and PDP Gamecube controllers included. The PowerA wired GC also has a very slight axis snap but the deadzones are fine, there's an extremely small external deadzone which is pretty much identical to the ProCon. the PowerA Wireless GC has no snapping on axes at all and behaves exactly like a ProCon stick.

Yah definitely the motion controls work great and the rumble is really just an afterthought. The only thing u may or may not miss is the nfc chip for amiibo’s but otherwise it’s an awesome buy.

I got one from ali Express. Smash bros edition. Came in the knock off box but was beat up. Thanks usps. Pretty much the same as the on in this vid but the things i found was the vibration was much more annoying than the oem one. But personally i can live with it. The right stick is way more sensitive than my oem controller. It was hard to pair at first but once i turn on wired controller thing then plug it in turn off wired controller thingy then it pairs just fine every time. If you have a budget for the eom ones just buy those. If you have a lil bro buy him one of these because he rages in Mario kart and makes the controller take flight. Also when the switch is docked in sleep mode the controller wont wake up the console but my oem one does. But i can live with that. Other than that every button works. Including my d pad. Ps. I have played 10 hours with it. No major problems. I think its luck of the draw. Wulff den got a crap one. I got a good one. Edit:(8/27/20) the one joycstick is kinda binding up but it still works. Mainly use it as a hand to your angery lil bro controler. The controler i hand to kids i dont like lol

for the dpad, it's just your unit. i got one a few months back and i used it daily and none of the buttons have yet to fail, and the sticks are calibrated way better on mine and i opened it up to see if they put a legit one inside, but no it's fake. also mine wakes up just fine with the home button and the cable that came with it is a fake of the legit nintendo one, but they left the nintendo text out and it just has this weird raised oval on it

But going into more tech gadgets, my PS D3 still works, my new switch pro controller work with no issues just can't wake up my switch but I grew up in the era where if you wanted to change the channel you got up off you *** and changed it so that means nothing to me. Umm lets see bought tech office gag gifts, cup warmer plates, items for my ps Vita, some for my xbox. I could keep going but think you got the point. Either way this is a 2 year old video and most of the knockoffs work 1000 times better now than they did when this video was made. So yep I've had positive experiences with Aliexpress.

@@andrewanderson3016 How far you need to press depends on that specific game settings, dictated by the developer. Its not a controll issue that is a programming related issue. The dev choose the % of how far you need to press have you never driven cars in any game that isnt mario kart? You can controll how fast you move by only pressing lightly or go fast by pressing all the way down. Not on switch, you just dont have that option at all

Bought a Nintendo Pro Controller in November 2018. By March 2019 the left analog stick starts drifting down sporadically (so...many...deaths in BOTW and Odyssey because of this) and occasionally doesn't register a full tilt when pushing up (Link/Mario will walk instead of run even though you push up all the way). Open up controller, blow it out hoping it was only dust causing issues, seemed to work for about a day. I guess I didn't get the full Nintendo quality in mine and it has been so frustrating. I refuse to spend another $70 on a replacement only to have problems again, a controller so expensive should not fail within 4 months of use from someone who is not a hardcore gamer (maybe 5 hours per week, on average). So I bought a replacement part off ebay for less than $4 and waited three weeks for it to arrive from China, will get the new part in tonight. Hope it works. In the meantime, I have been using my 8bitdo SN30 Pro controller. Not nearly as comfortable as the Pro, but such a great controller! Especially for 2D platformers.

The home button totally wakes the system wirelessly. I do it all the time. You have to press and HOLD it for a second or two and it will wake. It’s not an update thing either since it worked day one for me.

I got a third-party Pro Controller for my Switch, and it was $27 on Amazon. The only issues I had with it were that the left analog stick started drifting the first time I put the Switch into sleep mode, but it’s fine after recalibration, also the red paint on it rubs off on the seams and edges, but it’s fine aside from that.

I bought one a bit before the time of this vid and it’s been really good. non of the problems in this video are non existent except for the wake, which I am fine with because I go to my switch anyway. I may be one of those lucky few that got a really good switch

Pro controllers are dropping in price they are around $55 maybe even less from some places. I think paying double for a better quality controller is worth it. I bought knockoff gamecube controllers, and have gotten angry at them and even returned them before. So that’s just my stance. Even anything made by HORI, PDP or PowerA is better than knockoffs.

Buy a legit GameCube remote and have it refurbed. I love my GameCube remotes for smash. Pro controller is okay but I dislike the triggers.

Erik Zamudio, I have 8 different colors of oem gamecube controllers. that’s not the topic at hand. It’s Pro controllers. which have a million more games that it’s used for. because Gamecube is missing a L Button or a ZL if you will. meaning it’s nonfunctional on many games that allow dual joystick use/pro controller use. It’s also pretty good on smash people have notched them to be hexagonal like gamecube. Pretty awesome. I know partial amount of players who even use joycons to play with is just crazy lol But I give all controllers the benefit of the doubt. I own 1 of all the 3rd party gamecube controllers, all pretty good but don’t feel as good as a gamecube controller. but will always work as a pro controller as well.

I have real trouble understanding why Nintendo hasn't made Pro controllers in a bunch of novelty colours by now, sell those for 15 bucks more than current pro Controller price and drop the pro by 10 bucks or so.

I would like to say that they fixed almost all the shape differences even the battery and nail types, except for that hidden message, it is different in a few letters.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if these controllers were just units that failed the QC check so they just slid them under the table to sell as clones.

That's also what I am thinking.. but why is the Nintendo Switch logo missing from the front? Do they engrave it after the quality checks have been done? That would make sense but is weird nevertheless..

I'm buying the fake that feels original Pro controller because my original Joycon that feels fake is broken.
