You should do a comparison video for the vehicle levels OG Crash 3 vs. remake. You'll notice how much better OG Crash 3 vehicle controls are especially handling wise. Especially for bike levels when boosting and rings of power handling.

Genuinely one of the best designed levels of any Crash game so far. Challenging but not unfair, perfectly incorporates the usage of all your power-ups, and unlike some levels if you’re good enough you can basically go through the entire level without stopping for platforms and other cycles when doing the time trial. Took a while to get the Plat but I had a blast grinding it.

i actually really like the ski crazed relic grind, it was so satisfying to overcome the shit jet ski controls to manoeuvre around all the bombs and when to slow down

Fun fact, Area 51? Is the only one of two levels in the game where you can get both gems and the platinum relic in the same run

They also made the level significantly easier than the original. Getting plat on PS1 makes me want to kill someone, where-as NST is easy to just get the plat by just playing the stage normally

Back whenI was 7 years old, I was trying to unlock all levels in Warped. Rings of Power was the last one, and I was really curious what it could be... maybe another egyptian themed one, or perhaps a pprehistoric, since we only had 2 of those? To get all 25 relics was extremely hard back then though. Mad bombers was the last level needed, and I absolutely hated all airplane levels. It took days to finally get it and open the last level I grinded for all those years, only to see it's just another airplane level. I remember getting so upset as soon as the loading screen was done I just shut off my PS1 and didn't touch any Crash game for weeks. I will forever consider Rings of Power the worst Crash Bandicoot level in every single game.

In rings of power there's a way to airbreak (as far as I remember x on x box and square on ps4/ps5). That makes your plane rotate twice sharper without significant loose of speed. You can compare this to u-turning. And now if someone says that Lewis is bad in Crash because he didn't know that - this person is completely wrong. It's absolutely not obvious and the game does not write anywhere about it. I personally completed Crash 3 in original and remaster about 10 times and after that found this trick absolutely randomly when I first time went on beating all the dev times in n sane trilogy.

The controls for the vehicle levels (especially the Motorbike and Ring levels) literally ruins the enjoyment, if you’re going for Platinum pace 😂😂!! Lol!! It’s why I typically can’t enjoy relics, because I typically want to go for Platinum Relics, since it feels like I’m achieving something special, but then some levels are an absolute pain in the a**! It’s why when I see relics in a Crash game, I kinda dread what’s coming! 🙄😂 I love when he said “You could let a toddler play Rings of Power and they could do it” and said “Holy sh**! the annoying thing is about the vehicle levels is that they actually did change how the steering works.... for the jet ski only, which controlled better in the original, yet the vehicles with the complaints were left as is.

I think the reason why normal levels are sometimes easy, and the vehicle levels are harder is because they took the original Crash 3 time, without the special boosts u got, but vehicles are the same speed as back then

Vehicles in Crash 3 actually have a different speed unlike the original game. To explain it in simpler terms: Pura is A LOT faster here than the original. Planes are also faster. Jetski and the bike are kinda so-so, but slightly slower than the original game. The plane also has an added brake button on the Circle button, which is what makes levels like Rings of Power significantly easier. This isn't the case in the original, as you don't turn like a snail in that version.

Coming from PC, I don't think there is a mod that specifically fixes controls. Sadly this game's engine is really hard to mod for to begin with, unlike Crash 4's Unreal engine. You struggle on Rings of Power in this version because the turning is ass unlike the original game. The fix for it is they added a dedicated Brake button (Circle for PS, B for Xbox). The weird turning you got on Area 51 is the game. Don't worry, your controller is fine XD. The bike specifically has such shit handling when at full speed, it's actually comical how it made it through testing in the first place (Crash 3 was probably the most rushed game).

@@woahscape I have quite literally speedrun this game a lot before, and I can adequately tell you that some of the vehicle controls, especially the motorcycle, controls like absolute shit when boosting, and it's really only that and the jetski which does not have a dedicated u-turn functionality like the original game. It's why you have such obnoxiously weird turns on N.Sane compared to the original game. The turning functionality on those 2 are just not good. It's not because it's "built" that way. Yeah, it's built that way, but it's still shit. Sorry. This is not an isolated thing. It is very much widely disliked. But sure, go off.

Man, Rings of Power in the N. Sane Trilogy gave me so much trouble due to the controls. I swear the plane controlled a bit better in the original Crash 3 (but I can't remember). The vehicle levels pretty much suck in N. Sane Trilogy. I feel like they were a bit more tolerable in the original game.

i think bike levels are terrible because there is 2 levels of turning while on turbo. One where you dont turn at all and then after a second you hard turn. I tend to tap left and right on dpad for that
