Wuthering Heights Review: Is It Overrated?

Today we talk all about Wuthering Heights. It's an iconic, unhinged classic that I have a lot of thoughts and feelings about.
I hope this Wuthering Heights review does not offend any hardcore fans... I'm not saying I hate it..it's just a hot mess!

Exactly because of what you didn’t like about this book is the cause of my liking this book, and I thank you for giving me the chance to think. The narrative is ‘twice removed,’ and that made me to always question what was said, and even to doubt the narrative as I read. And the effect of it was the gushing sound of wind in the moor, leaving me with wonder in the middle of it, whether the whole story was just a dream or reality. The twice removed narrative somehow made the story three dimensional, organic and deep.

I understand you - I had very similar feelings about Wuthering Heights! I had to force myself to finish it, mostly because I found the darkness tough going. Although if the mark of a good classic is it's ability to stick with you then, this must be one.

I had strong inklings that Charlotte was jealous of Emily when i was reading her foreword for wutheribg heights. I dont remember quite clearly what i was feeling but Charlotte sounded like she was astoned by her sisters talent. There is also a rumor that she burned Emily's second novel out of proteching her. But it was possibly also due to jealousy😅

Excellent review!! But I am now sure that I will never attempt to read this! 😂🤣 Also very interesting idea to find out who killed Emily Bronte! 🤯 A team of forensics should watch this video and unravel the mystery! 😱
