And maybe the Lost Federation comes into play with a new section of the region. (Speculation and spoilers) In 2.0, we learned that Threnodians can have resonators as well. So, it can be a possibility of a tragedy story involving Jiyan's friend Genshu Lin. And maybe that was the original intention as in the CBT, crownless was basically a reflection of his personality seems like.

the fact that the wuwa devs released a character design survey not too long ago to ask what we prefer is an amazing thing, I've been playing similar games for the past 3 years and never felt this involved or listened to before (i do enjoy some hoyo games not gonna lie but there's only so many surveys i can fill out about how i like the monsters of the new region). i did hold out since launch because i wanted to experience the improvement in real time and i'm so happy i stuck around

Wuthering Waves is the first game that truly captivated me. As a casual player, I’ve explored various games across different genres, but this one genuinely hooked me. I usually play for 15-20 minutes a day because of other responsibilities, but what I love about this game is how it respects the players’ time. The daily tasks are straightforward and enjoyable, making it accessible and farming Astrites easy; even for free-to-play players like me. When Wuthering Waves 2.0 Rinascita was released, I was so excited that I took 2-3 days off just to fully immerse myself in the new content. Surprisingly, I didn’t feel burnt out at all. The experience was genuinely refreshing, and it felt like stepping into another world far removed from the daily struggles and stresses of life. It even gave me a sense of nostalgia. Regardless of what others may say, Wuthering Waves holds a special place in my heart, and I’m incredibly grateful to Kuro for creating this game. Watching their development team work so hard, even in the face of criticism, is truly inspiring. They took a rough start and turned it into motivation to improve, which is something I deeply admire. This game has not only brought me joy but has also reminded me of the beauty of perseverance and creativity. I’m thankful to live in an era where Wuthering Waves exists.

Yea I dropped it in 1.0, got pissed at genshin for losing another 50/50 and came back just before black shores. When I hit mount firmament I started going "wait up, this is pretty good", did black shores...cried at parts and on edge of my seat the entire time...picked up character quests and was so confused because for genshin for example I feel like they are very hit or miss but in Wuwa they were just generally good. And now 2.0 continues to just be amazing. Also: I had the same reaction to Lorerlei. I was just sitting there like: WAIT WHAT?! EXCUSE ME?!

I played HSR since it's release date, but have dropped it lately because the amount of bloat dialogue (aka "yap") became unbearable. I was at a crossroads: I could either keep playing and just hope that things get better, or I could pessimistically walk away after about 1.5 years of time and money spent. I walked. It's great if HSR continues to deliver enjoyment for you -- but it's also great that there are some other outstanding options if you find yourself in the same boat I did. WuWa is one, and Reverse: 1999 is another.

Sir Marco, I really respect your perspective in the game, back then when it's still not thriving as much as compared to rn. Music was drastically improved, 1.1 is really the start of improvement in the patch when it's come to music, 1.3 is the second best patch for me. Although 1.4 degrade a little bit to 1.3. The entire facts that from 1.0-2.0 wuthering wave had improved a very high amount is really should be appreciated. Some people even comparing it to AAA games which is a highly compliment to the game. To conclude, wuthering wave is probably the best patch so far in all gacha game this January. Kuro Games put not only an appetizer, but all of the main dishes, condiments, drinks and deserts they have and let the customers indulge to it. So far, both games from KURO COMPANY has very consistent significant improvement on each update. PGR especially has never stop making me love the story in every new chapter release, the music also NEVER miss. WuWa seems to be taking the same step as PGR since it doesn't start well at first, but starting to create its own beauty that's rare to see in gacha genre as it progresses. 2.0 Rinascita especially is SOMETHING I DON'T EXPECT. They seriously make such a huge expansion and gameplay upgrade in merely 7 months after release. I felt in love with Rinascita just by looking it from afar, and those feeling grows stronger as I step into the city. Also to add, the story pacing and storytelling is also a whole new quality in gacha genre as well, and I definietly love the soundtrack that nation has offers. Really reminded me of the same feeling when I stepped to Li Yue and Inazuma for the first time in Genshin. The only issue I have with WuWa is its community. I really hope they can stop aggressively comparing WuWa to Genshin for every achievement it achieves regardless their justification behind it. So for once, we can celebrate the expansion and achievement Kuro achieved without mixing toxicity with it. That way, even haters will stop hating and start playing WuWa while appreciating the game without having their ego hindering them from doing so. Because WuWa Rinascita update deserve all the praise and appreciation it gets.

It's the common treatment of gaming community toward any CC, especially when the game is mainstream. But so far, from every WuWa X Genshin comparison kind of video, you can tell which side is going worse just by looking at the comment, and from what I see they're mostly WuWa fanbase inciting Genshin hates.. In a video that's not supposed to be that way. Not me siding on any community, but it's just an objective observation. It's hard to praise WuWa without having "that guy" mixing Genshin hates in the comment. I just want to see a normal WuWa community appreciating their game NORMALLY for once.

i really do like 1.0 despite the issues it had, because chinese inspired or heavily story-based beginnings and references from china is always nice to have first than something more western. i do hope they go back to jinzhou itself and expand the lore even more. it may have convoluting terms but it makes sense when you are eager to understand Why and What has transpired in the region itself. 2.0 is amazing by itself and all- i just like more eastern asian influences more because i grew up with that sort of stuff.

Interesting note on the gacha, by the way; PGR originally didn't have a guarantee for new characters. For a while, they just used their 70/30, that they use for re-run characters now. It's actually relatively recently that they started doing a 100% for the new feature character. Meaning, if it's requested enough by the fan base, they may actually start doing that for Wuthering Waves as well.

Very well said, Marco. I can't believe there are still people unwilling to give this game a chance and they focus solely on the past as if it is all they need. There is just so much to enjoy in WW, not just as a game... Its musical aspect is just amazing, and I also found myself jumping at that Queen of the Night reference! WuWa is doing incredibly well and I am very happy with that progress. Regarding your comment on removing the 50/50 mechanic, I actually have been thinking about this for a long time and I think it may just make the game explode in popularity and player count would skyrocket, and while some may say that this practice would hinder the game's economy... I understand that too, but removing the 50/50 would make people far less fearful of the idea of a gacha's predatory practices and more willing to enjoy the game for what the game is. I have a feeling that Kuro might be considering this approach, but who knows... I think we could encourage them, and if it comes true, it could absolutely change the gacha game field immensely.

But at least they fixed their release schedule, no more delays, and constant new story content (even if its paperthin compared to the grind). I can only agree. Kuro stepped up their game a lot with the 2.0 update. I really hope they keep this path and keep making awesome content. That feeling when the statues sounded the horns as we walk up to the hall in the church and the *chefs kiss* choir in the background, chills down my spine! When i saw the f2p 5 star weapon banner at the games release, i knew they were either gonna cook hard or go down in the endless sea of forgotten gachas. I also was very fond of the music in the previous patches. I found myself standing randomly having the music play just enjoying the view. I no longer feel the need to do such with the new update, sadly. The game is still wonderful, no doubt, but the older music was more my style.

What I wish they continued is how they made the explorations worthwhile. I'm stumbling on random quests that are very engaging. The puzzles did great as well. Those color pallets, the fratello brothers, the Twin towers quest, the date with Lorelei, and many more.

I can't browse r/gachagaming without seeing Kuro and WuWa catching strays on threads of games that aren't even about Genshin or WuWa. In my opinion, since the barrier of entry is so low, it's worth downloading the game to try it out before assuming it's just another game trying to ride the coattails of Genshin. Genshin may have put gacha on the radars of many people, but it is absolutely not the blueprint of the genre and shouldn't be used as a measuring stick to judge all other gacha games by. That notion alone is folly at best and malicious tribalism at worst. That goes both ways, too. The WuWa community is not excused from their endless bashing of Hoyo and their games. I told someone on the wuthering waves subreddit, at risk of being brigaded, that WuWa is now good enough to stand on its own without mentioning how much better it is than its competitor in the same breath. "It's better than Genshin" has so much less inherent meaning that "it's just a really good game." It's just a worthless sentiment now.

Wuthering Waves has quickly become a game with a gacha feature rather than a gacha game. I never feel the need to pull for any new characters. I just do it for the ones I want. OH, one more thing. Phrolova pulls straight from Shakespeare during her dialogue at the final confrontation. Her lines about the "wildcat" are lines from the witches of Macbeth, who gives Macbeth the prophesies. Just like Phrolova does. She lays out two that are similar (ascension to the throne and, no man shall kill the king) and the third prophecy is from Romeo and Juliet (Pleasure born of violence shall end in violence). Phrolova says two of those prophecies have been fulfilled, but the third hasn't, not yet. I acted like you (when you heard Lorelei's theme, just not as animated) to realizing this lol. I'm not a huge literature guy, but I studied Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet a lot (as well as Merchant of Venice) in HS so they've stuck with me forever.

As a day 1 player i hated the music and was not a fan of 1.0s Acts from 1-2 I think it got better once we saw Scar and the finale fight, I was just hoping it would get better in the future and i can say now i'm happy that i did not drop this and pushed through until 2.0 that is peak lol

Thank you for making this video! WuWa is fast becoming a great game. There were some moment while I entered Rinascita and played the story that I felt like this could easily have been from a dev team of games I already play. Voice acting could still use some refinement but maybe I am noticing that more as it's in my native accent. Carlotta for example realy could benefit from learning how finishing schools train the voice and mouth since she's supposed to be playing a character of nobility but at times slips into a london-commoner way of speaking. An easy fix though. Can't wait to finish the story (I'm a little past the Lorelie fight but I dont think I've fought the cool dragon yet)

As a FF14 player knows that moment in Shadow Bringers when you laid eyes on Amaurot was replicated in 2.0 of Wuthering Waves. The first time you exit that cave and see the entire landscape of Rinascita....'chefs kiss', the vocals swelling as you approach the landscape, that was magical. WuWa 2.0 was Kuro finding the games identity and hopefully they build upon what they now have and with that this game has potential to be very special.

At first I wasn’t really into WuWa, but glad I stuck it out because with each patch it just gets better and better. Really looking forward to the direction the game has taken and I absolutely love the new area. It reminds me of Final Fantasy 9. I also still love Genshin too, and it’s really nice that WuWa has distinguished itself from Genshin, so I can enjoy both ❤.

Wuwa definitely is on stable ground now. In my opinion Genshin's release was not perfect but is evidently a bit more polished than Wuwa's 1.0 release. But on first time experience of Wuwa, you definitely see the great potential. Wuwa has quality of life mechanics that make it enjoyable to play and makes you oftentimes wish Genshin had these features too. The gatcha in Wuwa feels definitely generous to f2p players. It has become a game I play side by side Genshin ever since it's release. It has definitely exceeded expectations specially with the 2.0 release. I'm loving the music in Wuwa almost as much as I love Genshin's music too. So great job Kuro games. I hope they keep up the momentum

Wanted to try it out on launch because you can run on walls. Extremely love it since day 1 and I still play to this day. What's even crazier is that it just becomes better as the day goes on. Just wished all the funds that I spent on other gacha games went to this game instead but Kuro Games been feeding me astrites and tide pods that I literally could just live with the monthly pass and still get at least S2 on a new character any time now.
