For accounts with encore and zhezhi like mine, it’s a triple value weapon, dps and 2 supports. Its invaluable Edit* not to mention, it has the most general buffs in the game (atk and dmg %) meaning it’s universal. And it has the most valuable stat and highest crit value, 36 crit. Its arguably the most valuable weapon in the game currently

Stringmaster might just be up there with Jinhsi as my most valuable pulls in my account. I use it on my Yinlin, Zhezhi and Encore and thank God they don't belong in the same team.

3 weeks ago i pulled Camellya on my 1st 10 pull. I had like 60 Radiant tides left but then i thought Yinlin's banner will be dropping in 2.0 so i spent all the leftover tides in Camellya's banner pulling her 2nd copy around 50ish pulls leaving me at 6 pity. I barely managed to save 4600 asterites & as i woke up at 7 am today i did my dailies & her banner went live. I pulled her on my 1st 10 pulls again 😊. Crazy luck 🎉

Previously I thought universal weapons were really good but I have already pulled characters and signature weapons, and I've 4 of them by now, so I don't feel like pulling anymore cause at the end of the day signature weapons>other weapons for the characters, if I'm going to pull a rectifier character, I won't be just leaving her signature weapon anyways and for the next characters I'm simply going to use the older rectifier character's weapon

That’s sucks, but at least it’s the best character to miss weapon. For main dps you really need the weapon, yes missing yinlin’s will be a bit less dps but her buffs and coordinated atk are still very valuable.

It depends on the characters you want to pull in the 2.x updates. For example, if you’re like me and want Phoebe, Katixiya, and Phrolova who are likely to be Rectifier users then it’s worth pulling for Yinlin’s weapon, assuming you already have Encore or Zheshi. Here’s the strategy: pull for Yinlin’s weapon in 1.4 and skip pulling for characters in 2.0. This way, you’ll have enough astride to pull for Phoebe in 2.1. Then, you can repeat the process for subsequent updates. Katixiya and Phrolova are likely to come in 2.4+ so you'll have 2.2 and 2.3 or even more patches to farm for them. Not to mention that if the dps diff of stringmaster vs the 2.x character weapon you want to pull for isn't that high and they won't be in the same team, you might skip the 2.x character weapon and only pull for the character itself. You could also skip stringnaster and hope Phoebe, Katixiya or Prolova are gonna be rectifier users so you can pull for them, their sig and use one of their sig on Encore or Zezhi.

For anyone looking for a answer: no, you don’t need to pull this weapon. The next major update is less than 2 and there is a high possibility it will get powercrept.

I don’t have XY (new player) or Yinlin, but I’ve decided to skip both of them despite Yinlin being invaluable for my S1 Calcharo, because I want to get either Carlotta or Phoebe. I’m doing okay with my current triple DPS team (Calculator, Havoc Rover and Jiyan)

Try going 30 pulls for yao weapon you might get it early. I'm guessing we'll get an abundance amount of pulls next patch since it's 2.0 and New Years so it won't really impact your future pulls that much

That’s exactly what I’m doing. I got stringmaster for my zhezhi, yinlin and encore, great value. Now I can save the rest for Carlotta and sig. I don’t know if you get battle pass, but I run xLy on the bp weapon it has crit and boots lib dmg so he feels really strong with it. Its about 10% worse than sig at s5, 15% at s1

If xly is jihnsi level of nuke yeah I might pull his weapon. But I love to use encore so I pull string master, so that my zhezhi will solo the standard 5 star rectifier, and I'm tired of weapon swappings 😂

TBH, none of the upcoming characters have hooked me in with their aesthetics but hopefully that'll change once we get some gameplay... Also Kind of low on resources after Camellya took all my astrite so I'll be going into 2.0 stone cold broke.😪

Same here, but carlottas animations got me fucked up and now I have to get her along with her weapon. Pulling for camellya and her weapon drained my astrites, I have 100% exploration, and now Im forced to buy the bp and another lunite subscription just to get some more astrites before 2.0. Hopefully, the 2.0 events and new map will have lots of astrites to give.

I used to really want her weapon but not anymore. I want it for my Encore, but after getting Camellya I just ditch my Encore. I also don't have another user for the weapon currenly. I'm not pulling for Yinlin, I prefer pairing Xiangli Yao with Changli. I don't think I will pull for Zhezi bcs My S1 Jinshi is already destorying endgame content with Yuanwu and Baizhi. So yeah, her weapon is very strong, but it's only strong if somebody uses it
