Thanks Paul. I've got a much newer Weller gun too. But that old one just beats the pants off it in build quality and speed of heating and I reach for it first every time. I just ordered two of those and same as you I can’t find much info. In my case they’re for radio control scale trucks. Boy am I glad you had good results lol.

I like the sound quality that little amp has unfortunately even though the vendor that sold it to me said it can take 24 volts when I connected it to my 24 volt drill battery and then I ran a frequency sweep within four seconds the thing caught on fire and the op amp exploded because there's zero heat sink on it and apparently it's not made to take over 12 volts so no thanks to the vendor it only lasted me a day but what little bit of practice I did get with it it sounded very nice

2 years later, what's your perspective? I bought a Broan-Nutone bathroom fan and it's bluetooth module doesn't want to pair anymore. They gave me a refund and told me to keep it. Pulled it apart and dumped the firmware, but I can't find a similar module, was probably OEM from qualcomm, so I was looking at this to hijack the internal 9V supply and "fix" it with this board from Amazon, but figured I see some videos if it was going to be reasonable or blow up.

Mine still works, but the vehicle it's in has been a project and has only been drivable for the last couple of months, so it's not like it's gotten a lot of use. That being said, it does exactly what I want and need it to do, which is let me use my phone in place of a radio.

The little clamp things i like, but i put some solider on the wire so it doesnt crush. Minics solid strand wire.

Yea, you're really not supposed to solder wires that go into them, although I've done it in the past. I've got some bootlace ferrules and a crimper, I really like them and will use them in this case.

Ah ok i didnt know that was frowned apon. I tend to solider everything. Even crimps on a car i cut the plastic off, crimp then solider the wire to the crimp then heatshrink on top because here in wisconsin they put so much salt any crimp will cause trouble with corrosion. This liquid salt too they started using the water dries and salt powder is left all over the road. Jeep gets covered with it even just going 1/4 mile down the road, it creeps into spot welds and rusts the jeep away and it coats the engine bay with it so everything rusts.

what current did you power it? and the voltage is 12v?... i cant get mine to power the speaker, i think its the fault of low current although the blue light does turn on

The stock CJ-7 fuse box has a connector for the radio, which is what I used, but its not fused. I doubt they intended the radio to be more than 3 to 5 amps. Ive got an inline fuse in mine, I think it's 5 amps.

What is the adapter attached to the ATX power supply? Is that a product from China, or did you make that yourself?

I have tried multiple devices with no success. I am connecting just fine but NO audio is playing. I am at a stand still. Any suggestions on how to tell if the amp is blown or fixable?

@@3rdpig better buy some used good brand speakers then this shitty car audio with tweeters builded in to midrange. Propably magnet is smaller then half of this blue case. I dont want offend you but even marantz for 3000$ sound bad on shitty speakers and same this amp.
