During this weeks 19 mile long run I broke all the rules and took my new, never been worn, Summit VECTIV pro 2s out on the trails. I'm loving the foam, the ride, the fit, the stability and the carbon. But, I find myself wishing that the 3.5mm lugs were just a little deeper. Although, after only one run I am already leaning towards racing in these shoes for the 2024 season! I'll need to log some more miles before I make that decision, but this shoe is definitely a good fit for me.
There are only 3 weeks left until the start of the Gorge Waterfalls 100k and I have one more long run to get all my gear choices finalized. I'm actually changing up quite a lot this season. Darn Tough socks are replacing the Belegas I've been wearing, Path Projects Graves PX Shell to replace my Salomon Bonatti jacket and Path Projects Graves PX shorts to replace ALL my other shorts. I'm considering a new Salomon Pack before race day, but my 2 year old Salomon Pack is still going strong with no rips or holes yet.

Hell yeah good choice! I ran the Gorge Waterfalls 100k in them and they were a powerhouse! Hope you have a great race!

Dude! I'm in Utah too, but I have been looking for some solid racers. I actually just picked these up, still en route, but stoked to give them a try. Running Bryce 50k in May then a couple of 100's. I am hoping these will be solid racers!

After my first run in em I was pretty stoked!! I’ll be running somewhere between 26-31 miles tomorrow so it’ll be a nice test on these to see if it’ll be a good idea to run longer races in them too. Hope you love em!!

Did they change the design of the carbon wings? Version one had a lot of folks including myself have issues with the wings rubbing. I love the shoe otherwise but cannot use them! 🇨🇦

I wish I had tried the first version for comparison, but I’ve only run in the Pro 2. I’ve done about 30 miles and haven’t noticed any rubbing. The forefoot of the shoe was a little stiff for like the first 10 miles, but all is good now. Definitely considering racing in these this year!

Hey, have you found any comparison yet? Just like you, the rubbing is unbearable as it formed a thicker blister around the toe bone, and won't go away, as the bone hits right into the carbon when stepping to the side.
