Funny the russians look like imperial soldiers Its actually a war way before ww1 even before the sino-russian war Its the war were Poland has been conquered, descondtructured and shared between the German empire, the austro-hungarian empire and the Russian empire But i Guess its easy to treat Russians as bad guys and demonize them with todays politics Actually the imperial russian soldier followed a divine moral code of not hurting and was prophibited from killing women, Christians and non-combattants And the enemy Christian soldier were not to be tortured or executed, this moral code within the imperial russian army was inforced by the Orthodox Church and the Tzar If they didn't follow this moral code they were punished So no ,its not the Soviet-Polish war, simply because these soldiers have imperial russian uniforms and the soviets didn't have any standarzide uniforms because they weared what they could find or weared what they owned but did all have a standardized cap in sheap furs or skin with a big red star on its front, they really all looked like a bunch of rabble really but i assure you the soviets would do what was showed in the film but not the imperial russian soldier, the Tzar and the Russian Orthodox Church would have not have allowed it ,has i have explained to you

No, is the Russian-Polish War of 1818-1921 after the Soviets took over Russia and decided to secured their Western borders by annexing Poland again just they had once before. They failed poorly after devastating losses in WWI and the Civil War.

This battle is very inaccurate the Austro Hungarian soldiers are winning more in the fight scene. Every time there were two enemy’s fighting in a melee fight there was no clear winner.this movie was very disappointing!

Yeah, looks like this is not WW1, but Soviet-Polish war. Still what confused me, aside from caption - Russian uniform. Complete and mostly accurate uniform of Imperial Army. I understand it is 1918, just after revolution. Still, no signs of Red star, nothing to identify soldiers as communist. Actually there wasn't yet USSR at the moment.

@@jakejackson1914 As far as I remember, the Austro-Hungarian army lost all the battles to the army of the Russian Empire. They were saved only by German divisions. Poor Germany! She'd always had bad luck with her allies. Her had to fight for them all the time. But, now everyone can be a hero. Everyone writes history as they want.

There were several times that Austrian forces actually bested Russian ones, such as Komarow and Limanowa, and several victories over Italian and also other Allied forces in the Balkans etc... Austria's main issue was that prior to the war, its military had been woefully underfunded, and that it was headed by Conrad von Hotzendorf, who was essentially a relic from the 18th Century. When well led and equipped the Austro-Hungarian soldier was as competent, professional and courageous as those of Germany, Russia, France, Britain etc... and they did perform much stirling service, as I say, particularly against the Italians and in the opening engagements with Russia, but as the war dragged into 1915, 1916, Austria had to rely more and more on it's German ally simply because Austria's Army just wasn't as well funded, and couldn't be expanded far beyond what it reached in 1915 due to manpower shortages, and shortage of money. This led to the Germans often underestimating what Austrian troops could perform and in turn, led to the Austrians overestimating what the Germans could achieve. Though I don't disagree that Germany has made some pretty poor choices when it comes to picking its Allies.

в 1920 поляки на рсфср напалиЯ, дошли до киева почти, но ркка их повернули назал и дошли ло вислы, польша почти сдалась но случился патриотичиский подъем плюс начала помогать остальная европа, также в этот момент началась война с эстонией, это всё привело к тому что советские войска повернули назад и вынуждены были заключать мир с польшей, по факту без этого антикомунистического подъема и помощи из-за границы польша бы снова стала советской
