Intro was cool. What a treasure pit. All the historical artifacts are important as it is proof of German WW2 activity. Just love it when you guys go metal detecting. You always find the most interesting things. The bottles are always amazing to see, having survived being thrown into the trash pit, and then all these years, without damage. That heart shaped bottle was so nice. It is very similar to a 1930's Liqueur bottle I found many years ago in an antique shop, so it's possible the boys might have enjoyed a nice schnapps or two, over a hearty meal. The Rellinglas Garant piece is the lid of a preserving jar, made by WECK of Oflingen, Germany. Something WECK still does today. Just love the toothbrush and the comb. They are such personal items, we can all relate to. Looking forward to seeing what our young friend, EE, found! Cheers to you all! Stay well!

The heart shaped bottle was really neat, as for the cream jar the lack of any markings makes me wonder if it is the sort a medic would give a soldier for a medical salve. I really like these middenheap videos where you really get a sense of the people vs the grand scheme of war. Can't wait to see what EE stumbled across, he finds the coolest things.

You come across so much wonderful items in the trash pits. Good friends of mine, the wife works for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and she says when they go to a site that's the first place the archeologists on the team look for, the trash pits.

HOLY MADONNA!!! Love seeing that 20mm and then when you found that "trash pit', OH MY GRAVY!!! Seeing the handle from that knife was awesome. Sad that part of it rusted away(most likely). The jars you found, bottles.....amazing little hole! Curious, is a place "we" have been at before? Oh, what type of shell round was that you found that you didn't recognize? I imagine that little pit has a lot more in there to be found. Well done...enjoyed it a lot. Take care

Coooool finds HH & EE 👍🏻👍🏻 Some years ago I saw a WW2 digger find a bunch of GLASS MINES that the Germans had to counteract mine detectors, maybe that glass ring part is that? 🇬🇧🤝🏻🇳🇴

Well we have found that before but not sure about that glass piece Thanks Glenn :)
@HaGirl109 ай бұрын
Wowzer, you sure found a mega pile of valuable WW2 relics. The German heart shaped cologne bottle was absolutely gorgeous. Makes me sad as the soldier that possessed this most likely passed during battle. Would like to see that cleaned up Luftwaffe knife/spoon handle. The wash basins should clean up nicely. Wonder what the vibrant blue piece of glass was? I read that the German soldiers did take extremely good care of their horses. Hence the toothbrush. Yes, to think a German soldier used the spade and now you used it, once again, touching history. Are you going back there again HH and EE? Keep safe. 💕

I assume the other cartridge case you found was a U.S. .30-06? I'm assuming that it being there along with the Hispano 20mm shell means it was most likely hit by an either British or American strafing run, and seeing as the cartridge was rimless means it isn't .303 Brit. Unless it was modern. I was just curious.
