Back in early March I was so excited for a 9k serial range Astra 600. Freaking thing got “lost” in the mail, took me until last week to get my money back from the seller and they even stiffed me out of $30 bucks on my refund. Dealing with shops like that are why I appreciate dealing with Legacy more and more.

I remember watching us military videos were Americans were going into the Walter factories and assembling their own Walter SS style guns and taking them back home to America with them it actually showed the guys showing off the guns assembling some with different style slides

Always interesting. Perhaps you’ve covered this but what constituted an inspector whether from the US or Germany during WWII? In other words what were their qualifications? Thank you!

In practice you say that GIs generally took home 1 gun but in theory if they wanted was there a limit to how many you could take home
@LegacyCollectibles2 жыл бұрын
Depends on your Commanding Officer. I have heard some limit guys to 1 or 2. But I see photos of vets carrying a dozen. So no official limit that I know of.

About ASTRAS: if they are "Waffen-stamped" this does not even mean that they "made it" into the Reich. It is because at the end of 1940 the Germans set un an inspection office in Hendaye (French-Spanish border), and they "accepted" the Astras there (as well as the French "UNIQUES").
