I really don't understand why you confuse people here and in other editions, the date of the mission doesn't fit and the rat was never built, so what kind of comparison of something that didn't exist. AD 1:Panzerkampfwagen VIII Maus - "Mouse" was a German super-heavy tank from the Second World War. It was the heaviest tank ever built. The basic concept, known as the VK7001/Porsche Typ 205, was presented by Ferdinand Porsche to Adolf Hitler in June 1942, who approved it. AD 2:In May 1943, a wooden model was built and Hitler then approved mass production. The first series was to consist of 150 machines. At that time, the weight of the tank was already estimated at 188 tons. Development continued, but in October 1943, development was halted by order of Hitler, but construction of prototypes continued. AD 3:The first prototype (Version 1) was completed by Alkett in December 1943, but did not have a turret. A wooden tower was built that weighed the same as a real steel one. The big problem with the Maus tank was finding an engine that would be able to move it. None of the engines they tested could exceed 20 km/h. the improved Daimler-Benz MB 509 gasoline engine, which was used in the prototypes, could develop a speed of only 13 km/h, even under ideal conditions. Another problem was the tank's inability to cross bridges, so during development it was assumed that the tank would wade through the river and was given a long snorkel. In March 1944, the second prototype (version 2) was delivered. It differed from version 1 in many ways, first of all, it had a functional turret and a Daimler-Benz MB 517 diesel engine. Version 1 was also supposed to get a functional turret, but that did not happen. In July 1944, Krupp was ordered to produce more Maus tank hulls, but it hesitated for a long time and finally Krupp stopped work in September 1944. Meanwhile, version 2 was being tested with a new electronic system and belts from Škoda.

It’s funny some people in the comments don’t realize that this size comparison is inaccurate on the last tank (the p1000 ratte) the turrets in the back are the same as the one on the maus but the maus is like half the size of the rat

What? The tanks are way too large, the hetzer is much smaller. And whats wrong with the jagdtiger? Maybe the maus and the ratte is accurate in size. But the panther hatch is enough for 2 people like wtf.

The p.1000 ratte has two maus turrets on the back. Compare it to the maus besides the ratte you put. You'll see that the turret of the maus is bigger than the ones on the back of the ratte. Sure the size of the maus compared to the soldier was nice and accurate but compared to the ratte, its inaccurate.

If you wanted proof that the Germans are a weird bunch, just look at how many different types of tanks they made! Why not just make a couple of good tank models, produce them by the thousands and Bob is your uncle? Why make so many different designs? After all, if you want to win a war, then that's what you need to do. Just ask the Russians. They produced nearly 100 000 T34's during WW2 and got the job done. The T34 was by no means a great tank but in the end, it got the job done. In the end, winning a war or at least forcing the enemy to the negotiation table is what counts!
