Throughout 2008, Jeff Hardy scratched and clawed his ways towards the pinnacle of WWE. Drawing ever closer to the WWE Championship, the Charismatic Enigma was ready to win his first world title. During a feud with WWE Champion Triple H, Jeff Hardy had come within moments of winning the title several times, but he had yet to achieve the major victory.
At WWE Survivor Series 2008, Triple H was slated to defend his WWE Championship against Jeff Hardy & Vladimir Kozlov in a triple threat match. However, on the day of the pay-per-view, Jeff Hardy was viciously attacked in his hotel room. All signs pointed at the returning Edge, who had taken Jeff's place in the contest and won the gold.
Despite being unable to compete for the WWE Championship at Survivor Series, Jeff Hardy was given another chance to win the title at Armageddon 2008. In a triple threat match also featuring Edge and Triple H, Jeff had one final chance to achieve immortality, bringing us to our contest here today.

Jeff Hardy start his fight first with The Brian Kendrick, the result of Jeff Hardy winning the posted time of 12 minutes, 13 seconds. In the third challenge Triple H beats Shelton Benjamin at the same posted time as Jeff Hardy of 12 minutes, 13 second which results in a tie.
