I feel like 2024 was an incredible year for the WWE. Cody finishing his story and the end of Roman’s legendary 1,316 World Championship reign, The Rock becoming the “Final Boss”, Punk and McIntyre feud, Liv Morgan proving that she can be a top woman in the division, John Cena’s shocking announcement that he will be retiring in 2025, LA Knight finally becoming US Champion, Big Signings, Introducing mid-card belts for the Women’s Division. This year was only the start of big things for company and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2025 with the start of RAW on Netflix on January 6th

Between Vince being fully ousted, WeWantCody, Cody finishing the story, Drew-Punk, the rise of Trick Williams, the debut of the Wyatt Sicks, the implosion of the Judgment Day, Cody and Roman being forced to team up, Bloodline vs Bloodline, Kevin Owens going full conspiracy loon. God there’s so much more.

After WM it went downhill. Some good surprises and cool stuff here and there but underwhelming year overall. But then again im not part of the smarq crowd. Poorly managed NXT callups like usual. Lack of cool gimmicks/characters. They've been underwhelming with the Wyatts which sucks because i was hoping that was gonna be good. Super long predictable title reigns, 50/50 booking, same betrayal storyline/ group termoil. A lot of terrible mic work this year too. People gotta beg HHH to push Wrestlers that get over organically without the crutch of group storylines that dominate shows. I can write a whole book on why this year was meh. 1 positive im happy about is Chelsea becoming champ.

WWE was A tier as a sports entertainment company. Bloodline and Judgement Day ran the main roster, NXT created new stars since the Black and Gold days, and the PPVs were good WWE shows. They maintained a large crowds all year attendance wise and had more international shows.

I know they get ripped on a lot by but I think Solo Sikoa and Nia Jax were excellent this year. It took awhile but I *believe* Solo Sikoa now. He had no "aura" at the beginning of the year and honestly, when The Rock was involved, it almost felt like they wanted to lean into Solo Sikoa being a sort of "fish out of water" funny character where he's put in stupid moments that he shouldn't be in (the reason I say this is because of the "Solo can sing the National Anthem" comment) but ultimately, I'm glad they went in a different direction. Another highlight for me, anyway, has been the Karrion Kross/Final Testament vs. The Wyatt Sick(s) storyline. I really like how Karrion Kross' character has been used to slowly talk struggling superstars into turning heel and in turn, make their characters and storylines a lot more interesting. I'm hoping Kross can get over a bit more in the future and maybe become a real player in the mid-card title scene. He's probably the guy I'm rooting for the most at this point in the WWE. I also really hope we can rehab Finn Balor a bit to become a World Title contender again as right now, it feels like he's being used too much as Damian Priest's punching bag. They need to give Balor a big win or a good storyline to sink his teeth into. Maybe this Dom/Liv thing could be a big storyline for Balor heading into 2025. After all, there were reports that Finn Balor was rumored to be receiving a pretty significant push starting in 2025. I'd love to see it as he has been a longtime favorite of mine and I personally think he's one of the best and most consistent superstars on the roster. Overall, 2024 should be viewed as a huge success for WWE as they managed to either make new stars or push existing stars to a whole new level with 'Main Event' Jey Uso, Damian Priest, Liv Morgan, Bron Breakker, Gunther, LA Knight, Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tiffany Stratton, Bronson Reed, Andrade, Chelsea Green, and give Kevin Owens a new lease on life as a World Title contender (which is awesome). I think 2025 we'll see WWE try to push the likes of Lyra Valkyria, Ludwig Kaiser, Carmelo Hayes, Dirty Dom, "Big JIm" Uso, and Ethan Page (when he gets his inevitable call-up).

God 2024 was an absolutely insane year for WWE, Besides Cody finishing his story and ending Roman Reigns 3 year long reign and CM Punk and Mcyntire epic rivalry, you also had :Gunther’s epic rise to a top star :Ivars miniature singles push :Bron Breakkers rise to stardom :The Bloodline Civil War :The Ongoing battle between the Final Testament and Wyatt Sicks :The New Day heel turn :LA Knight becoming U.S. Champion :Odyssey Jones debut (even if it was short lived) :the rise of Trick Williams and Oba Femi :Andrade and Carmelo Hayes best of 7 series :Bronson Reed rising up the ladder and breaking the ring with Braun Strowman :Fraxioms tag reign :Sheamus’s bangers with Ludwig Kaiser and Pete Dunne :Motor City Machine Guns debut :Shinskue Nakumura’s revamp :Damien Priest becoming a main eventer world champion and turning face against the Judgment Day :Ridge Holland becoming an NXT main eventer :Ilja Dragunov and Dragon Lee becoming a part of the main roster :Alpha Academy turning on Chad Gable :Jey Uso finally winning a singles title And that’s just in the men’s division. I could go on about the craziness that was going on there but my point still stands

4:02 I have to disagree here. This match should’ve been the match for next year mania for the world title. The story for sami before they put him with Gunther was that he wanted to become world champion. But then for some reason they changed it for sami wanting a championship. But it still makes no sense since by that point sami was a 3x IC champ. I really feel that they should’ve kept the story gable Vs Gunther. It had a better and longer build

This was, I would say..... a FUN year for WWE, not great, not terrible but fun. The CM Punk & Drew McIntyre feud was gold with Drew being screwed out of the world title several times was the best rivalry on raw. The change of leadership in the bloodline was the best on Smackdown. Seeing the Rock being in a match again was a treat. Everything else was kind of from forgetful to basic. So yea, overall it's been a descent year for the product.

This truly was a magnificent and special year for WWE. From the entire Road to WrestleMania, with the creation of The Final Boss, Cody and the support of his fans saving the main event of WrestleMania, making this like an Avengers movie, and Cody finally finishing his story🥹, the greatest crowd in WWE history with Backlash France, the return of King of the Ring, John Cena’s shocking retirement announcement, the return of Roman Reigns as a babyface, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre’s legendary feud and also return to glory with Hell in a Cell, the story with the OG Bloodline Vs New Bloodline was magnificent, especially with Wargames, we got the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event as well as the return of the Winged Eagle Championship, and SO MUCH more highlights. This year truly was incredible and I can’t wait to see what 2025 brings.😁

I think 2024 is, by far, the best year in WWE's history at least in terms of creative. That might sound like a ridiculous statement to some of you but I DARE you to to back to any previous year and watch them without nostalgia goggles on. WWE's overall quality has grown a lot with Triple H in charge and now WWE is finally beginning to fulfill the storytelling potential it's always had. I have never been more hopeful and excited for WWE's future than I am right now.

The tag titles are back to trash and the women’s titles nothing will be remembered about them iyo and bayley had 2 abysmal reigns. That is a STRETCH. I won’t give HHH that much credit now. It was a good year, but to say "THE BEST in terms of creative" - that is a massive reach and recency bias. This year to me felt like a year that has played it safe, safer than Vince has ever played it in a long time. So it feels like it was extremely creative because it’s better than Vince’s 5 weird segments a year that were either gold or complete dog do-do. So I think we are confusing playing it safe vs way out there ideas that could potential make or break a story.
