D'Lo was my favorite midcard guy. Good worker, great at getting heat. I didn't realize how good of a storyteller he was though. Many wrestlers tend to ramble a bit or tell stories in a difficult to follow manner, but D'Lo is a staying on point and moving forward without detours. Might be because he hated hardcore and saved himself some concussions lol

Dlo is right as far as them all becoming individual stars. All different characters after the Nation. Rock didn't become Versace Rock until he was Corporate Rock. @@Handle2point0 Nah, how do u figure that?? 2 of those Euro title reigns were with the Nation and he became IC champ after leaving the Nation. He beat Mideon to get the Euro title, then beat Jeff Jarrett for the IC title, holding 2 belts at once. He lost the IC title to Val Venis then lost the Euro title to Jarret but got the Euro title back from Mark Henry. This was all after the Nation. Most of his success was clearly after the nation and that's including his spot on the cards.

People tend to forget the early days of the Nation, before it went "all black". When Crush and Savio Vega were Farooq's heavies, D'Lo was there as one of several "entourage" members, and they had Clarence Mason as their manager, and PG13 as their emcees. They had a whole huge crew, and were very controversial. And it wasn't about race at first, even though Ron had hints of that flavor. Once he kicked out Crush and Savio, and it became more racial, it was more memorable for most folks, but it became, IMO, less interesting.

@Insertquartertocontinue
@Insertquartertocontinue 3 жыл бұрын
Tully and Arns best work/runs were with the horseman. The Brain busters were great but not comparable to their horseman work. That's his point DLo was trying to make. DLo, Mark Henry, The Rock, and the Godfathers best runs came after the Nation. You can argue Ron Simmons best run was after that as well.

I don't see DLO Brown or Godfather doing any better than they did in nation of domination. Dx members like Billy Gunn went ahead to team with China and torrir Wilson and stayed until 2003 or 2004. While dlo was given the tiger ali singh's jobber guy gimchick. And he was out of yje company in 2001. Undertaker's ministery of darkness members edge and Christian went on to hold the main titles. So there's some proof that not all nation of domination members do great individually as dlo brown claims
