WWE wrestler Sid Eudy, known as "Sid Vicious," has died, according to a statement from his family. He was 63.
"I am deeply saddened to share that my father, Sid Eudy, has passed away after battling cancer for several years," a Facebook post from Gunnar Eudy says. "He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and his presence will be greatly missed. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we grieve this loss."
WWE is saddened to learn that Sid Eudy has passed away. WWE extends its condolences to Eudy's family, friends and fans," the post says.
Eudy also wrestled under the names "Sycho Sid" and "Sid Justice" with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), which is now the WWE, and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). He won several world championships and was featured in main-event matches at WrestleMania in 1992 and 1997.
