I still to this day think SvR 2007 is the best wrestling game ever made, it's the perfect blend of realistic and arcade style gameplay, plus I think it's still the best looking wrestling game and it has the best soundtrack of any wrestling game out there.

@@willg1088 Nah 06 is great but 07 is just that little bit better. Better Gameplay, arguably better roster (While we did lose Chris Jericho, Christian and Heidenrich. 07 made up for it by adding in names like Mr Kennedy, Bobby Lashley, MNM and others. Along with updated gimmicks/New Main Eventers like Edge going from the cool Midcarder in 06 to the Main Event Rated R Superstar in 07, along with Rey Mysterio) a much better, harder and more refined GM Mode where not only can you hire storyline writers to get higher ratings but you also have to look out for the Power 25 to see who qualifies as the affects who can challenge for titles making it much more strategic. Honestly the only things 06 has over 07 are the Fulfil Your Fantasy matches, and those wrestlers I mentioned.

I absolutely loved the ultimate grapple moves. From 2007 to 2010 they made the game so much more fun with what you could do. I'll never understand why they removed them 2011, especially in the ps2 version which didn't contain any of the new things seen in the ps3 & xbox360 versions (except stacking tables but you couldn't do anything with them).

07 was my favorite one. I think something as simple as adding weight classes made the game so much more believable especially when playing with somebody like Rey Mysterio. Then they ruined it with 08 where Rey could lift the great Khali.

THANKYOU! This game was the LAST truely next gen wrestling game we ever got. People love talking about "Here Comes the Pain" and "Day and Reckoning", but this was the first wrestling game to actually feel like the broadcast matches. The stamina system and weight detection have never been topped. (And yes the Soundtrack is the best of any GAME period)

You could go into the menu and change the controls back to normal, which made the grappling system just an added bonus. From what I recall, though, 08 had a much more fleshed out version of the joystick scheme and I adjusted to it then.
