I honestly think the biggest misstep for Laurie was that the stakes were too high. "If AEW loses, WWE buys them out." I wouldn't believe that for a sec, whereas the stakes of the Dusty Rhodes names has realistic weight. But, to go at Oli, I do wish he spent a second explaining why certain matches (Orton vs Orange) were happening. And why didn't either dude use MJF? Haha a bunch of small complaints, but I loved the whole episode

Oli's pitch legit gave me goosebumps. As someone who grew up WWE, learned about NJPW and Bullet Club, and then ultimately became an AEW fan since the beginning---this is the most satisfying storyline of all time. (P.S. "Forbidden War" is absolute genius)

I'm more willing to believe that Kenny wouldn't see Cody as part of Bullet Club (referencing back to their feud in NJPW) than I would believe that Danielson would go back to WWE just for money. Plus, the idea of Cody fighting for his family legacy plays to Cody's strengths so well! The fallout of Cody vs Bullet Club would be awesome to watch

I have to admit I like that. It allows you to have a great show that gets a great pop were neither promotion really losses. Which is the only way something like this would ever have a chance of happening. I also think it would be a bigger show maybe a two night affair.

Both of these dudes are tremendous storytellers. This is a super hard decision. I enjoyed Oli’s Bullet Club swerve and the Wargames match. Laurie’s build to the event was very good and, AEW fighting for their souls was good, as well. These guys made it to the finals for a reason. I have to re-watch to pick my winner. This was fun. Damn, Oli. That was some tasty booking! Great idea to put the Rhodes Legacy on the line. To do it in a War Games match. "Forbidden War" is an amazing name for an interpromotional PPV. The problem I have with Laurie's is that the stakes are unrealistically high but I quite like the story of one of the ex-WWE guys as an imposter on AEW.

Honestly, I sincerely believe that if Vince did die and Hunter was able to take over WWE (probably won't happen with him being out of favour now) then he'd actually be open to working with AEW. Like, in actual real life. If there's one thing Hunter is good at, it's negotiating with people, and he'd definitely want to get in on the big wrestling crossover universe AEW has put together. WWE may be the biggest wrestling promotion in the world, but is it bigger than AEW, Impact, NWA, NJPW, AAA and possibly RoH all put together? Hunter would _love_ to be able to bring in outside talent to work with WWE guys the way AEW has with stars like Cobb, Rosa (pre-signing), Gage and Suzuki (remember when he brought in Jushin Thunder Liger to have a match against Tyler Breeze in NXT?), and even letting belts cross over between companies, but there's no way someone as proud and arrogant as Vince would even be _interested_ in that.

How I would book this: Amanda Huber decides to book an independent PPV to honor Jon Huber and raise money to help sick people. Most of the AEW wrestlers are going to be there as well as some other indy guys and people who want to support the cause (Wyatt, and Rowan for example) But then Big E and the New Day tell Vince that they are going to be there and that they are willing to quit if they are not allowed to support their friend. Vince lets them go. And tells the wrestlers they are free to wrestle at this event if need be. Cody and HHH decide to put there differences aside and decide to put the Dusty Rhodes tag team trophy on the line to help. So this tournament has little to no brand animosity. It's to have great matches and honor the two heroes that helped both brands become so much better. The Card will be: In the singles tournament Dark Order 10 vs Big E and Bray Wyatt vs John Silver. Silver and Big E win so we can get some beef vs beef in the final. I think Big should win. I think a fun touch would be if there's any dispute over who should win than negative 1 will pick his favorite wrestlers. The Dusty RHodes tag tournament will be Cody and Dustin vs MSK and the Young Bucks vs the New Day. Cody and Dustin and New Day win. And that New Day Bucks match is an absolute banger. Cody and Dustin come out on top for the trophy. Then HHH comes out and announces that the Dusty Rhodes tournament is a shared IP and AEW is free to make Dusty Rhodes tournaments whenever. Leaving the door open for more shared tag team matches. Other fun matches on the card: TayJay teams up to take on Io and Stark or Toxic attraction. Angels and Reynolds have a match against Imperium or anyone A segment where MJF comes on and tries to make the event about himself but gets chased out by everyone. Bryan Danielson has a dream match against Johnny Gargano. I'd hope a card like this will remind everyone that this "War" can be a fun one and that pro wrestling is all one big community and we can come together for good causes.

I absolutely loved this and especially the the series as a whole. I still think Adam is the fantasy booking jampion, I would really love to see another round of this again. Honestly, even if you don’t like him, you HAVE to use Cody in the story. There are some key players involved in the whole inter promotional battle that has been happening since AEW started, and Cody is at the very core of it, removing him is like not having Iron Man in Endgame, even if you don’t like him, he’s a vital part of the story. Oli wins it for me. Bullet Club changed wrestling and having it finally take its rightful spot as the top faction in the wrestling world would be wild, especially if it means New Japan Bullet Club joins them for a mega faction. Plus, I love the idea that Bullet Club is this kind of cult-like entity where no matter how much you try to leave it, you always come back. Also, the whole “If you win, you get our company” thing just doesn’t work, as it pretty much guaranteed an AEW win.

Loved the Bullet Club swerve in order to not play end result favoritism for a brand. I would happily have asked for another 10 minutes from Oli to explain the more minor builds for the other matches of Forbidden War. Becky v. Britt in promos would be great! Orange v. Orton is odd I would like to know that build also. And given the odds of Kevin Owens/Steen coming to AEW working that into the card somehow... he and Zayn against Darby and Sting seems odd, even if it simply a way to get the Taker/Sting Cinematic Match. But yeah loved Oli's Fantasy Booking, it has me wanting a way to pitch my own, well done.

Oil made it low stakes which was nice but the most important thing that solidified his win for me was the fact that there wasn’t a definitive winner If you’re doing a crossover with another company it’d kinda defeat the purpose of helping both if one side won in the end He made it where now there’s a common enemy for more fun crossover shenanigans

"Forbidden War" is, as you English say: a CRACKING name for a PPV and almost carried Oli to my vote on its own. I really thought I'd go with Laurie, he usually books like a comic book and it certainly started out that way, but his fell into being more...WWEish to me. Still great, but Vince & Tony getting involved and having the company on the line is...hm, for some reason THAT broke the immersion for me. Also VERY slightly disappointed no one had a "he removed his shirt to reveal another, slightly smaller shirt underneath it.

Something I really liked about Laurie's booking is how WWE are the invasion force for a change, as in the eyes of the fans AEW would be more percived as the good guys nowadays and despite that almost everyone who tackles this subject has AEW be the invaders instead, which kinda is the flaw in Oli's booking, AEW invading RAW seemingly outta nowhere then going "Yeah we did that, but we really didn't need to". I also loved the whole "AEW happy ending" at the end, though I also loved Oli's story overall minus that detail and the Bullet Club swerve ending was great as well. Hats off to both of you!
