The final four is one of my favorite matches ever. Nowadays WWE has become unwatchable. Must have been years since i last watched raw etc. And it's getting worse and worse from what i am hearing. I am still a huge wrestling fan, don't get me wrong but i am only watching old school stuff like 80's territories or the attitude era. 1997 was an awesome year for wrestling. Bret Hart diving through the ropes the raw before WM 13, his whole "heel" turn was awesome. HBK vs Taker at Hiac, Stone Cold vs Bret...... Man this was a great time to be a wrestling fan. Thanks for your awesome work guys, this channel is a treasure. You are bringing back so many memories..... 😊

I’m with you on this one. I stopped watching wrestling in the mid 00s. However still love wrestling. Watching classic 80s, 90s and early 00s. Most of my wrestling watching is done through this channel nowadays. I have dipped in and out of watching the current product since the mid 00s. However nothing held my interest for long. I don’t think wrestling’s ever been quite the same since WCW went out of business and I think that wrestling will never again be back to the mainstream success it enjoyed during the 80s or late 90s to early 00s again. 97 for me was also the best year in wrestling. Hands down. With WWF pulling out all stops to try and compete with WCW. It was before the attitude era took off and things became a little too silly. It’s incredible how much the landscape of wrestling changed from the start of 97 to the end. This was a great PPV and main event. You could really tell the WWF was heading in a different direction by this point.
@RAA103823 жыл бұрын
@@martynodonnell8467 You should give AEW a chance. Like you, I stopped watching in the mid 2000’a (around 2006) because without WCW to compete with them, WWE became kind of tame in my opinion (I would find out years later that TNA, altho not a major threat to WWE, had real good stuff). Anyway, I came back in 2019 for the launch of AEW and for the most part, I will say that the company is real good, while they are still growing. It’s the first time WWE had legit competition, with a billionaire family (Tony Khan and his father) as owners of the company. They have a good mixture of former WWE stars (Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes, John Moxley, who was known as Dean Ambrose in WWE, and Christian, Matt Hardy, CM Punk, among others), stars who made their name in such places as New Japan, Mexico, and TNA (Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Hangman Adam Page, Lance Archer, The Lucha Bros) and the independents (Darby Allin, MJF, Sammy Guevara).Oh, and they also have the legend… STING.

(I know WWF was the only one to officially use the branding, but still...) For ECW it started when Shane Douglas trashed the NWA - Aug. 24, 1994 For WWF it was the Austin 3:16 promo - June 23, 1996 For WCW it was the unveiling of the nWo - July 7, 1996
