Man this game brings back so many good memories. Me and my friends would play this for hours after school in the winter. I remember a popular move was to get your opponent on the commentary table and hit your special on them, or reaching into the crowd to be granted a barb wired bat, knocking your friends character unconscious with a chair. Good times

By far, the greatest wresting game of all time. Some people nag about the graphics being too boxy, or cartoony, or unrealistic but I didnt mind it at all. I actually like the graphics. The gameplay, controls, and CAW feature are so magnificent that the not so perfect graphics meant nothing to me. This game came out at the end of 2000. Its almost flawless. My friends and I played this game so much we actually wore it out and had to buy a new one. Some nights after partying I would come home still really faded and sit up til 3am creating all the real wrestlers who were not in the game thanks to great CAW feature. It had everyones finishers and costumes and even their taunts. And it even lets you create factions and cliqs like NWO, 4 Horsement, DX, the Flock and the Brood. The CAW is so amazing that I was able to change the characters I could care less about like Rikishi, Too Cool, Godfather, Blackman, Taz, Mable, Lawler, Mark Henry and some other shitty guys and change their looks and costumes and I made the great wrestlers from the 80s and 90s who were not in the game. Genius game.

I’m so annoyed that no game will ever be able to properly mimic this games gameplay. Like all they gotta do is copy this 20 year old game and clean it up. Make it smoother, faster, improve the graphics, add some more features or whatever. It doesn’t seem like it should be that hard for developers but apparently it’s impossible to figure out. The AEW game is such a letdown especially after they cited this game as inspiration.

LOL, Bubba Rays finisher was just a damn diamond cutter. I thought Bubba Rays finisher was that full nelson sit out bomb that he always used. I don't remember Bubba doing a diamond cutter, I think the developers just had him do a solo version of the 3D because that's what it looked like. I wonder if he did the full nelson Bubba bomb if you grappled your opponent from behind because I remember the N64 wrestling games usually had multiple different finishers depending on if you grappled from the front of back and even some special finishers from the top rope or grappling your opponent while they are in the corner.

Turnbuckle...send em into turnbuckle so they stay there...have your special bar flashing...strong grapple, like hold the grapple button...wiggle joystick. Off the top rope...opponent laying...special flashing...run to turnbuckle...just let go. Standing turnbuckle...have standing opponent...do the same. In the cage...grab opponent...think its left c button to smash their face into the cage wall.

How the hell did Mankind get the mandible claw on Kane, lol?!?!?! I remember every wrestler had a couple of alternate outfits, so did the Undertaker have a deadman version in No Mercy? It's kind of lame that his default is the American badass, that should have been his alternative. Is there a way to pull of the tombstone with Taker in his American badass form? When it's was Takers turn on the video he did the last ride, was that his only finisher or was there a way to do the tombstone?

SinCity Sinner At the time of No Mercy's release, the American Badass was his current gimmick. I don't think he has the deadman gimmick in this version as far as I know.

WTF, when has Matt Hardy ever done a 450 splash, lol? It's stupid that they had him do a 450 because Matt actually had a go to top rope move. Jeff had the Swanton and Matt always did the big leg drop from the top rope, lol. C'mon No Mercy Matt never did a 450, as a matter of fact I'm pretty sure the only person in WWE to ever use a 450 was when Too cold Scorpio was in the WWE for the little time that he was. I can't remember the name he used when he was in the WWE, but I can remember being amazed every time he pulled the 450 off because he was like the first person I ever saw do it besides the cruiserweight guys, and Scorpio was a big guy compared to the luchas and cruiserweights so Seeing him get full rotation and landing that splash used to really amaze me as a kid, lol.
