The amount of plot armor Katherine has is insane. I'm not mad at it she brings the drama, but it takes me out sometimes how many opportunities they have to kill her and don't. Although I think it was poetic justice, Damon locking her in the tomb she was supposed to be in. I think Elijah sounds different because they were still figuring out the character. I think he made it more his own as he got more fleshed out.

DADDY ELIJAH IS HERE!!!! "Excuse me. To whom it may concern - you're making a big mistake if you think that you can beat me. You can't." I love how they introduce him like he's the scariest dude ever and then say he's like the Easter bunny compared to Klaus. Elijah was always scarier to me than Klaus because he was so calm & unpredictable, always wore a suit and was the "noble gentleman". He commanded and owned every room he was in and everyone, EVEN KLAUS, was terrified of him. Elijah kinda reminds me of Stefan and Klaus reminds me of Damon, and since I'm a Stefan girlie there's no wonder I love Elijah so much (love Klaus too but not as much as Elijah and DEFINITELY NOT when he first arrived). Fun fact: The actor, Daniel Gillies, is from New Zealand/Canada and grew up mostly in NZ (his parents are also from there). From 2004-2019 he was married to actress Rachael Leigh Cook, best known for her roles in the movies She's All That, Josie & the Pussycats and The Baby-Sitters Club. Fans are divided but the majority think The Originals is the superior show, which I have to agree with. It's probably, at least in part, because it appeals to a more wider audience since it's more mature (if not just for the fact that the characters are not in high school) and more focused on family dynamics, but I still love TVD. It did start it all at the end of the day. And they did also focus on family dynamics, just not as much. I enjoyed the love triangle and the ship wars for the most part but the relationship between Stefan and Damon was always my favourite part of the show. Even the relationship between Elena, Jeremy and Jenna/Bonnie and Grams/Caroline and Liz etc. Anyway, there are so many elements introduced in this episode. 1. Katherine being the first doppelgänger. 2. The curse needing the moonstone AND Elena's blood to be broken. 3. You cannot kill an Original like a normal vampire. 4. Not the first time but Stefan's past in regards to his problems with blood is talked about more. Also, I was a hardcore Stelena shipper and still am but Delena got me too, probably because of Nina and Ian's chemistry tbh. Though I do find it funny (and sometimes annoying) how Damon does one nice, selfless thing and all is forgiven (mainly by the super hardcore Damon fans though). Fun fact: The writers wanted Sarah Michelle Gellar to play the role of Rose but she turned it down. It is assumed it was because she didn't want to be in a vampire show again after Buffy. The actress who did end up playing her, Lauren Cohan, is most known for her role as Maggie on The Walking Dead. She also starred with Kat Graham (Bonnie) in a Tupac biopic called All Eyez on Me, where she played Tupac's mentor/manager and Kat played Jada Pinkett Smith (his friend).

they locked Katherine up with the moonstone cause she wanted the moonstone. so it was an irony thing. u can keep the moonstone but u are now unable to do any plans u wanted to do with it because you're sealed away. and the brothers dont need it. Nor ever wanted it.
