Why is the Allied powers not named as Empires?. They were the real real savige Empires of its times.

The main Allies U.K., France, U.S.A, Belgium, Russia, Portugal, Italy were all Empires but so were the German Empire, Austro-Hungarian Empire, Ottoman Empire. Both have a history of atrocities what's your point?
