I cannot explain my excitement about this new paradigm shift. Can't wait for this to be released. Sound bank management was always the hardest thing for us. I cannot believe that we will not have to think about it anymore. I'm also extremely happy about bidirectional automatic event/asset creation. That was really annoying. The FMOD was much better at it, but now you guys will ROCK!!!

I would be happy if I could get a video where you create a working build. in my case, the sounds do not get into the game build

I have the 2022 wwise version and I can't find the "Use Based Packaging" in Unreal settings 4.27

This deserves an update, the documentation for event based packaging is very incomplete and this video is out of date. I'm getting consistent "media not found errors" just using a basic unreal template project and a brand new wwise project following along with this video.

Once I upgraded my wwise to new version with event based packaging. When i package my game, it crashes when swapping map. Any ideas on what could cause this. Been stuck for 3 days on this problem.

9:30. no, none of those things were turned on when I integrated Wwise into UE. And even after ive ticked all the boxes explained in this video it still does not work. When in UE 'window' drop down menu, and I click to open the Waapi picker window, I get this ERROR message @Could not establish a WAAPI connection; WAAPI picker is disabled. Please enable WAAPI in your wwise settings, or use the Wwise picker". Well I have enabled it in Wwise, so whats the problem? plus the error message has a link that takes me to a WWise page that has zero troubleshooting. WWise and UE are causing me nothing but headache. nothing is working. and certainly nothing was 'set up correctly' from the integration process. Im using Wwise integration 2021.1.2.7629.2025 and UE 4.26 on Windows 10 Also, When i go into the UE reference viewer of an event there is no link to any audio file. its just a singular image of the event image. Also, the 'auto connect to WAAPI' tick box isn't in the integration settings like they have in this video. its in the User Settings. this video is already partly redundant. I assume this was change somewhere from 2020.1.0.7251.1618, which they are using, and the latest which im using - 2021.1.2.7629.2025.

Not sure if this is addressed, but how do you handle Events meant to play across maps, such as Music transitoning between maps?

The wwise launcher no longer sees any UE projects. I bought and build a new computer. the first project I open is a source UE project. Now it doesnt matter if I create any new project in UE and WWise launcher cant see it. I don't know why. I cant see anyway to check where the Wwise launcher is looking.

You could integrate manually. Download offline integration files and put the Wwise folder into Game/Plugins.

can you post a link to the migration steps for updating an already existing ue4 project? the New Asset Management pop up had a link in it that said "For more information, please refer to the integration documentation." however, i cannot find a step by step instruction on how to properly enable/migrate (just clicking the checkbox in ue4 settings created a world of pain and a silent game). a more detailed version of the below is what i'm looking for: www.audiokinetic.com/library/edge/?source=UE4&id=pg_important_migration_notes_2019_2_1.html the project in question is mid-sized (not large, not small). thanks!
